Rated 4 out of 5 by Lanky Manky and Planky Anniversary Treat
It was half term week and although there was enough people to make it a sociable holiday, there were plenty of places you could be alone. No trouble getting beds in the waterpark - where we spent the whole week! Lots of little treats - champagne breakfast, slush puppies, cocktails all part of the all inclusive package. Rooms were spacious and clean. Food was varied and fresh. Never had to wait for a table. There were sunbeds available around the hotel pool if you wanted to stay by the hotel bar. There are no all inclusive alcoholic drinks served in the waterpark, but you can have soft drinks and hotdogs. Good bus service to Puerto Rico or Mogan. Lots of souvenir shops just outside hotel if you don't want to go anywhere. Never had to queue for slides. Entertainment is not fantastic, but I don't need anyone to entertain me! We were not able to keep our room on even though the hotel wasn't full but there was a good courtesy room provided.

Had a great relaxing week at Lago Taurito. Great facilities for our 14 year old daughter. Hotel better than expected. Clean and tidy. Good choice of food.

hotel was just fantastic, area was great and felt safe, very relaxing holiday. the main pool and water slides were closed for re-furb when we were there. that was the main reason we booked the holiday, for the large central pools and activities, disappointing Thomas Cook never told us before we left. I heard others got the choice to change there destination, we didnt. bit of a let down on that score.

Rated 4 out of 5 by flip wonderful holiday!
this was our second visit to the lago taurito in 2 years. last year it was just my husband and i and we said that we would return with our 2 children (9 and 7) the following year. we were not disappointed and nor were they!. they had a fab time. the resort is small consisting of only 5 large hotels and there is hardly any traffic, most of resort is pedestrianised so is safe for children. there is a water park in the middle of the resort which we could gain free entry to. the beach is small and black sand and has a variety of watersports. it is only 100m from the hotel. the hotels miniclub was perfect for the ages of my 2 children and the animation team worked really hard making sure all guests had a good time, especially simone. the staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful, in particular all the staff at reception. the rooms were comfortable, adequately equipped and cleaned everyday. the food was good and plentiful. it was not as varied as some places we have stayed but was fine for a family holiday. the thomas cook rep was fantastic as we were stranded an extra 4 days on our holiday due to the volcanic ash. she kept us well informed and reassured that we could stay in our hotel room until flights resumed. thomas cook were fantastic in dealing with this difficult situation and we could not fault them at all. we shall be returning again next year.
