In the capital Athens, daytime temperatures average around 27°C, with highs of 31°C in the afternoons. The island of Rhodes has the same daytime average, but highs are slightly cooler at 29°C. With 12 hours of sunshine expected each day and less than 1mm of rain, August is the perfect month for relaxing on the beach or exploring the country’s many historic sights.
