By car: If you’re planning on exploring outside of the resort, hiring a car is the cheapest and most convenient option. There are several companies in town and at the airport that can offer you a competitive rate.
By ferry: Regular ferries can transport you from Argostoli to Lixouri. Services operate every 30 minutes during the busy summer.
By bus: Local buses can be slow and unreliable in Lassi, but they are a cheap mode of transport for visitors who would prefer not to drive. Services operate until the early evening.
Wine Festival: Join thousands of visitors as they head to Fragata for the annual wine festival in August. Guests enjoy a great feast, followed by traditional music and dancing until the early hours.
International Music Festival: Held in Kefalonia each August, this popular music festival features live performances from both Greek and international artists.
Kefalonia Snake Festival: The Church of the Virgin Markapoulo is the famous venue for this unique festival held each year in the middle of August, where locals leave bags or jars of snakes near the silver icon of the Virgin of the Snakes.

Lassi starts to warm up from mid-spring, with temperatures hovering in the mid-20s (°C) by the end of the season. Summer is the most popular time to visit. Come between May and September for glorious highs of 29 (°C), and up to 13 hours of sunshine a day. Autumn starts to rear its head in October. The weather is still warm, but rainfall dramatically increases so remember to pack a brolly. Lassi winters are short and mild. Temperatures rarely drop below 12 (°C) throughout the season.
