The Ibiza Rocks music festival was founded in 2006 and, since then, has gone from strength to strength, attracting music fans and party lovers from across the globe. In its early days, this world-famous event was hosted by Bar M.

However, as the party increased in size and drew more crowds, it became too big for the bar and had to find a new venue. The answer to the problem? Build a hotel, specifically designed to house the Ibiza Rocks festival, and throw a few more events in along the way. The Ibiza Rocks hotel is now one of the island's most iconic and most visited hotels; ideal for anyone who loves music and loves to party.

The music festival is the biggest of the Ibiza Rocks events program. Taking place between June and October, you'll find musicians of every sort wowing the crowds with familiar tunes, new releases, and kicking gigs. While you might think of Ibiza as the home of dance music, the Ibiza Rock music festival acts as an umbrella for bands and artists of almost every genre, including electronica, grime, folk, and rock.

In addition, you'll find world-class DJs playing alongside up and coming stars of the club scene. All the gigs take place on Wednesday evenings, at the permanent, purpose-built stage in the hotel's central square, so you won't have far to travel to see your favourite acts at work. Previous performances have included the likes of Jake Bugg, Madness, New Order, Stormzy and Clean Bandit.

However, this isn't the sum of the Ibiza Rocks events calendar, and the hotel is well known for keeping the party going right through the summer. If you're a fan of UK dance music, then keep an eye out for the We Are Rockstars (W.A.R) festival, on Friday nights. With established stars such as Lethal Bizzle, Sean Paul and Wilkinson rubbing shoulders with new kids on the block like Holy Goof and Cadenza, you're sure to find the brand of music that get you going. In addition, the W.A.R. gigs are located around the hotel's pool so, if things start to warm up, you can keep partying in the water!

Party on the High Seas

Not all of the Ibiza Rocks events take place on the hotel's stage: now you can boogie all day on one of the hotel's dedicated boat parties. Ibiza Rocks the Boat trips leave from San Antonio's harbour every Wednesday, around 2pm. For three hours, you can enjoy the best in garage, indie and rock, while soaking up the sun and indulging in a cocktail or two. Tickets for the Ibiza Rocks the Boat trips also include entry to the Ibiza Rocks festival.

For dance fans, the W.A.R. ship also leaves the harbour at 2pm, before cranking out music from live DJs, until around 5pm. Taking place every Friday, tickets to the W.A.R. ship boat parties also include entry to the W.A.R. gig that evening, giving you the chance to keep partying, long into the night.
