The ship-shaped Titanic Deluxe Lara overlooks the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean sea on the southern coast of Turkey. This 5 star resort boasts six restaurants, five outdoor pools, two aquaparks (one just for the kids), plus a spa with a Turkish bath, steam room and indoor pools. The Tini Club will keep children aged 4-12 entertained, while the Tini Gurme area allows them to eat their lunches in a colourful, fun environment, designed with them in mind.
You could choose to spend your day relaxing on the private beach area with a cool cocktail in your hand. But if you prefer to be more active you can join a competitive game of tennis, basketball, boccia, beach volleyball or football. In the summer you may choose to spend your evening enjoying dance shows, live music and parties. Winter evenings can be spent at the cinema watching the latest release or your all-time favourite. In the cooler months of the year the semi-Olympic outdoor pool is heated.
Your All Inclusive perks include three meals a day from the main Parkfora Restaurant. It has five buffet concepts - Mediterranean, Asian, Modern, Eclectic and Hip, as well as the Poppet’s Railway selection for the little guests. In summer lunches and snacks from the Italian Sapore are also included, as well as light bites from Stella. For a surcharge you may choose to dine at one of the other five eateries on site. These include three a la cartes - Italian, Asian and seafood. Plus, there’s a steakhouse and in high season you can enjoy fresh local dishes, overlooking the sea, at the taverna.
Standard rooms feature a balcony, as well as a bath and shower. The Family option is located in the annex and has a master bedroom with a double bed and an interconnecting room with a bunk bed plus a single bed. If you really want to push the boat out, book a Colonel Suite. These cater for both families and groups of adults of up to five. The benefits of upgrading include a king size bed, Jacuzzi® bathtub and a second toilet.
The resort is under 6km from the open air Sandland museum. Here, skilled sculptors use sand to mould an impressive range of creatures. At night they are illuminated using every colour of the rainbow. 20km to the east you will find the town of Belek and its many golf courses.
The city of Antalya is 16km west of Titanic Deluxe Lara. While it is now a large city with 2.5 million inhabitants, you can visit the maze-like Kaleiçi district, where perfectly restored whitewashed and red-roofed Ottoman houses line the cobblestone streets. While wandering the streets you should look out for the fortress gate, the stone clock tower and the 18th Century mosque.
