Limak Arcadia Sport Resort Hotel

Limak Arcadia Sport Resort is a beachfront hotel on Turkey's popular southern coastline. This All Inclusive family-friendly hotel is steps from the sandy beach of Belek and the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. You might be lucky enough to spot the region's native sea turtles, which often nest on the beach. The hotel has colourful exterior walls and rich accents inside, along with exposed brickwork and tiled flooring. Outside, the grounds feature a sun terrace, garden and several pools, including one for children with a water slide. You can take part in a selection of activities from basketball, tennis and volleyball to aquaerobics, catamaraning and canoeing. If you're a keen golfer, you can hire clubs from the hotel and spend your holiday teeing off on the hotel's two courses, which have been called a 'masterpiece' by professional golfer Colin Montgomerie. For some relaxing downtime, you can head to the hotel's spa. Here you can take a dip in the heated indoor pool or unwind in the Turkish bath and sauna. The spa also offers a range of beauty treatments and massages to help ease tired muscles after a day on the tennis courts. During your stay, you can dine in the main buffet restaurant or one of four a la carte restaurants offering varied evening menus. The hotel also has six bars dotted across its grounds, so whether you're at the beach, by the pool or in the lobby, you won't be far from refreshing drinks, snacks like cake and ice cream, and light meals.

The resort sits on the beachfront and is 800m from the heart of Belek. This area is known for its natural beauty and is also a favourite with golfers as the town has several scenic courses and has hosted international tournaments. Belek Beach is popular with families. It has a sandy shoreline, which stretches for over 16km and offers shade from the sun under native pine trees. As well as relaxing on the beach, you can indulge in a local tradition and unwind in a tiled Turkish bath before enjoying a body scrub and massage to complete your treatment. To explore further into the region, you can take one of the city's local buses from a stop 800m from the hotel. From here you can discover the nearby ancient Roman amphitheatre of Aspendos or spend the day in the historic city of Antalya, wandering around its collection of shops, restaurants and bazaars.

While staying at the resort you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main buffet restaurant. In the evenings, the four a la carte restaurants serve Italian, Chinese, BBQ and Turkish cuisine. Drinks are available throughout the day from one of the six bars around the resort and beach.

The hotel provides entertainment each evening, including live shows and live music. There are also mini discos and clubs for kids and teens.

Rooms have a fresh decor with wooden furnishings and a balcony or terrace. Each has a flatscreen satellite TV and a minibar.

Out of 5 Food 4 Daytime entertainment 3 Evening Entertainment 4 Room facilities 5 Room Cleanliness 5 Hotel Cleanliness 4 Hotel grounds overall 5 Staff friendliness/helpful 4.5 Hotel location 3 Beach 5 Pools 4 Value 4 Overall score 4 out of 5. Really good hotel. In my top 3 so far. I'd happily recommend it but small changes would have made it excellent/5 stars for us. We travelled as a group of 7 Ages 11,13,18,40,42,63,65 I have been to Turkey several times my parents 14 times. I'll start with where I feel it could be improved the most. Please note it looks like I'm being very negative however its just my opinion on where our holiday could have been a little better but overall we did have an amazing time. I really hope that the hotel will consider implementing some of my suggestions below. Day Entertainment There is daily activities archery volleyball darts zumba water aerobics. It is the same every day but doesn't run on Sundays. This is really good but there is nothing really happening around the pool that is much fun. My 3 teenage kids got a little bored to be honest. The teen club was closed the whole week and I was expecting more overall from the Entertainment after reading many good reviews. I'd have liked fun games and inflatables foam party etc around a pool and as there are several pools I can't see why it didn't happen. People who don't like it can just sit around another pool. So this is not a good reason not to do it. This really did make it difficult for my 3 children to have as much fun as they could have and missed an opportunity to make friends. There is music at least. Evening Entertainment There were some really good shows at the start of our holiday. World dancers, acrobats, Queen then it went really downhill from there I wasn't a fan of the Turkish dancing night wasn't interesting. Comedy night was more like little kids entertainment and was really poor in my opinion. (Sorry, they work hard and are friendly but its a tacky budget show that needs replacing) or used for the kids show prior to the main show. A magic show would be better. Another night we did bingo and it cost 15 euros for 1 strip/6 tickets . The prizes were absolutely terrible and they must have pocketed hundreds if not thousands from it. I don't like the profiteering on this scale. Prizes- a bottle of champagne, 1 free picture from the photo shop, Turkish delight. This was a little bit of a scam. I advise you avoid paying it unless they change this ASAP!!!! It was fun to play but I'm surprised it wasn't done daily before or just after the kids entertainment as is common in other hotels I've been to and with much better prizes to make it fun and exciting. Karaoke was after bingo that was ok my ears were bleeding on and off but it was entertaining none the less more so than the comedy show haha. Kids entertainment is about 30 minutes long then the show for about 1 hour then a band or music near the bar which finishes at 11.30pm . I think that's far too early and there's no good reason when the hotel location is not residential and the hotels either side were playing loud music until 1am. Sounded like they were having lots of fun while we sat with nothing. This certainly isn't a place for younger adults but I'm not so old I want to go to bed early on vacation every night and im not a heavy drinker so this has nothing to do with it as the bar remained open. They could have even done some entertainment on the beach instead if noise was any concern. The amphitheatre is small and no problem in May there was enough room but school holidays during peak time I can imagine you probably will struggle to get a seat unless you get there early. The inside disco room said closed due to covid but I think they should at least run entertainment until just after midnight. The live band singers were ok not amazing to be honest. I really think the entertainment could be much better overall but I do agree some shows were really good but not long enough and not every night. the staff were friendly. I saw on the hotels Facebook group a circus night the week before that looked amazing fun and I don't understand why it wasn't on the week we were there. As with other posts of activities it seems like luck whether you get these events while you are there. Location Belek Town is a short walk away. It was good there but market is only on a Saturday I believe. The shops were all selling the same things . There wasn't a whole good amount of variety compared to other places in Turkey I've visited and they all have a tendency to sell similar things ie bags clothes shoes.there's no harbour or sea nearby and there is nothing else to do in the area Other than the town there is nothing within walking distance whatsoever. No bars or shops just hotels. My parents really like to walk around and they found nothing. I am due to return to belek next year to another hotel and i think I will not return again after this purely because location is important on my list of must haves. If you like golf it's perfect for you though as there's golf heaven surrounding this hotel. I assume you can stay at this hotel and go to the other for golf however I can't be certain. The hotel did bring in a few stalls one evening but only 4 . Perhaps a nearby Market on regularly would be great. Or bringing the market to the hotel on a large scale . Some people don't like to be stopped and asked to buy so need to move it to a grass area or court perhaps. We did land of legends and a quad buggy safari but are not walking distance. Most excursions are 1hour + drive away which isn't ideal. This was a bit of a shame. We like to discover things outside the hotel. It's just a big chain of hotels. Food The late night snacks is not good.very limited pasta salad soup that's about all. Dinner is good I'm a bit of a fussy eater and I didn't starve but it definitely got repetitive for me.l and my husband who is less picky than me but my parents who eat a bigger variety felt the food options were generally ok. It certainly is difficult to cater for many tastes. Once my chicken was a little pink on the inside so I didn't eat it. Tripe soup one night. I'm sorry but some people actually like this? Otherwise it was all cooked well and there was always salad chips soup but the more fussy you are the more you'll eat the same foods every day . We noted some foods were a little bland even my parents mentioned this. The tea though was too strong. My husband hoped for lamb kebab but sadly was none. They did chicken kebab 2 nights. Some of the food stations were repeated too often and I'd have liked some themed nights from around the world. The cakes were nice but no hot deserts or yoghurt or ice-cream to change it up. After a few days I got a bit sick of cake and chips and I never thought I'd say that haha. There was always fruit however but I would have liked other deserts. I saw little bites taken out of the cakes and left there. I saw one child poking the cakes and licking her fingers then picking up a cake to take a bite and put it back. That was off-putting haha. I'd advise take a cake from the back. Snack bar Food again was mostly the same. Pizza here daily and more cake. Beach food was really good. Lifesaver for fussy children. turkey burgers, chips sandwiches, nuggets. Great idea. Breakfast The tea is strong and I'm surprised with so many English people going to the hotel that the tea isn't better with milk nearby Few staff looked puzzled when we ask for milk in tea. There was eggs pancakes etc at breakfast and it was ok but it again got repetitive and I don't typically enjoy breakfast anyway. Ice-cream place This is great my kids loved it!! Patisserie Very nice More cake !!! Hot chocolate was nice but too sweet for my parents perfect for me. You can't please all of the people all of the time as they say. The service here was excellent and looked good inside. Rooms/Cleanliness I had emailed the hotel twice previously asking my 2 rooms be next to each other but it wasn't possible when we checked in and so we were placed 4 rooms away which was OK but be warned for any where this would not work for your family and kids. Luckily my 3 children are older so not too bad Our rooms were modern and were cleaned daily. The fridge was restocked daily. The safe was free. The patio was tiny but no problem really. View was nice. My parents room was not in the main building and was in one of several little villa style blocks all over the place. These looked outdated dark and tired. My parents room was tired looking and nothing like my rooms. Worse there was no lift to their room with dangerous concrete narrow spiral steps. We noted how dirty the steps were with old drink spills on them. They did not ask to change room as it was too much trouble but I really think these buildings need major renovation and be redesigned completely. We noted under the beds a little dusty and had been some time since that was cleaned but nothing major. Pools I think there is enough land on this hotel to add some better water slides for older kids and adults. The 2 flumes were fine for little ones but my kids had to push themselves along in one of them and the other wasn't very fast. With a combination of this and no entertainment at the pool the kids got bored by day 2. Land of legends is nearby but really really really expensive . They might not have needed to go if the pools were more fun and had entertainment. The water fountain was really good and the little kids splash area looked good too. 2 other pools had no slides and are very deep 1.5 meters and more. I could touch the bottom on my tip toes at 5ft 4. Beware its cold even in 28 degrees full sun but you get used to it. Not many people used the pools so I think they agreed haha. They turned off the fountain and flumes at around 5pm. I think too early. 6pm would be good. Indoor pool looked tiny we did not use it. Plenty of Lifeguards which is very good . Plenty of sun loungers . A nice change and how it should be. No need to reserve one (in may). Hotel grounds+Cleanliness Overall very good. Grounds are well keep which is impressive given the size. We noted that a black beam that is in the wall in the restaurant all the way around was so dusty at table height we could write our names in it and was not cleaned all week. The restaurant and reception looks a little outdated and tired and lacks any wow factor at all. The bar is 24 hours here which is fantastic but looks like a cupboard haha I liked the rustic feel in general but it just seemed very outdated and tired looking and lacks any wow factor whatsoever. Note there are cats everywhere outside and some people take their dogs (I assume they stay in special allocated rooms for people with dogs).Tortoises also everywhere. No problem to me but may be something to consider if you have any allergies or phobias. Beach Can't fault it Sand gets red hot. Plenty of sun loungers and sultan for the day available if you'd like (I don't know if they are at cost I didn't use them) Jet skis etc available but far far too expensive. 50 euros for 15 minutes. 3 kids 150 euros for 15 minutes. No thanks. For that price you may aswell cough up for land of legends or a excursion that lasts all day. Staff Pretty amazing overall. Very helpful. They do not wait around for tips but I'd advise you do at the end of the week or if they give good service as they get paid very little for long hours. My husband felt 2 of the male receptionist were not very helpful I didn't witness this. The female was nice when I spoke to her. Some leaflets and contact details to book trips at reception would be good as the man on the desk told us to wait for a easy jet rep which we found out after there is none. We ended up booking from a shop in the town but it would be helpful if leaflets were available with a map of the area on display in the lobby pointing out the direction of the town and what is around the hotel aswell. Other Cash machine isn't on the hotel You have to walk out of the hotel and they are lined up along the main road. I thought that was odd. Not sure why that is. You'd think they would want you to get money easily to spend. Photos Seemed good. We only got the pictures with them holding parrots. 40 euros for 4 pictures though its not cheap. All drinks were good. No complaints whatsoever. Maybe some local brands but perfectly acceptable. I've had far worse I assure you. Overall really good holiday and good value. I'd recommend to my family and friends and I hope the hotel always looks to improve as this will make it a outstanding family holiday.
