The pool scene’s pretty relaxing, with three outdoor options: a beautiful oasis for all, a waterslide area and a shallow place for the kids to splash. When it comes to food, you’ll be tucking into divine cakes with your coffee in the patisserie, tasty pittas from the snack bar, gozleme (Turkish pancakes) by the beach and a mouthwatering buffet at the main restaurant. There are two a la cartes too, with a meal at each included when you stay more than 7 nights. Or, for the ultimate in romantic dinners, book a table on the pier.

There’s also a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from at the bars, whether you’re after cocktails at the pool, beer at the beach or a late-night tipple at the 24-hour lobby bar. (Fresh fruit juices and some imported drinks are at a charge.)

Every room here is as stylish as the next. Each comes with a balcony, minibar (which is stocked with soft drinks and mineral water on arrival, and restocked with water daily), satellite TV, WiFi and centrally controlled air con/heating.

Standard, interconnecting and disabled access rooms have two double beds and a single. Larger rooms have a double bed and two singles. Suites have two bedrooms and can sleep up to five adults and a child, with two double beds, a single bed and a sofa bed. And then there are the spacious Honeymoon rooms, especially designed for couple’s escapes.

Think you can tear yourself away from all that? It’s worth it, as Sirius Deluxe is in a fantastic location. Just 1 km from the small resort town of Avsallar, you’ll be about half an hour from Alanya by hire car or taxi (approx. 18 km) and its famous Cleopatra Beach. Get a taste of local history – and some incredible sea views – at Alanya Castle, then check out the shops, restaurants and harbour below.
