La Blanche Island

Located on Turkey’s Aegean Coast, La Blanche Island is a 5 star family-friendly hotel. The kids have their own pools and waterslides. Plus, there’s activities especially for them throughout the day and evening. For parents wanting to chill there’s a spa equipped with a Turkish bath, sauna, Jacuzzi® and two indoor pools. Gentle exercise can be experienced through a yoga session, while for something more intense there’s a fitness centre.

Chill on one of the poolside terraces - there are three to choose from. Not only will you have a view of the pool but also one of the sea. Four onsite bars will keep you hydrated and nourished. During the day the animation team organises pool games and activities, while in the evening there’s live shows.

The main Pina restaurant has a buffet offering, including sections with kid friendly options, baby foods and dishes for those who have special diets. You may choose to dine at one of the a la cartes. These include Mardin serving traditional Turkish cuisine, Vira where the chef expertly prepares the catch of the day, Far Eastern specialities at Shima Teppanyaki, authentic Italian at Pulcinella and the finest flavours from China at Sakura. To complete the collection there’s an international a la carte restaurant - ideal if you can’t agree on where to eat.

Rooms feature centrally controlled air conditioning, balconies, a safe and satellite TV channels. Help yourself to whatever you like from the minibar - it’s all included. The Family option includes two sofas that convert into beds for the little guests. If you have a mobility issue you haven’t been forgotten about. Adapted rooms are wheelchair friendly with specially designed bathrooms.

Next door to the hotel is a watersports centre where you can try your hand at sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing. The nearest golf course is under 7km away, while the forest of Halep Çami (a national park) is just over 5km away. Head to the small rural village of Çamarasi (15km away) to try your hand at quad biking. But be careful if you’re entering it into your sat nav, otherwise you might end up at a larger town with the same name over 150km away!

La Blanche Island is just 24km from the cultural centre of Bodrum, where you shouldn’t miss the castle, amphitheatre, windmills and the old city gates. But the standout attraction is the award-winning Museum of Underwater Archaeology that features some amazing finds from the sea surrounding Turkey. Afterwards enjoy a traditional coffee in a cafe or haggle for a bargain in the bazaars.
