Top tip: Playa del Inglés is one of the busiest spots on the island - if you like lively nights but quieter days, consider a hotel set back from the beachfront promenade.

Canary Islands family All Inclusive holidays mean buffets, kids menus and snacks all day, usually with kids clubs, splash pools and evening shows on site. It’s an easy way to keep everyone fed and entertained without constant extra costs.

An All Inclusive stay keeps budgets simple. Choose livelier resorts like Playa de las Américas, Playa del Inglés or Corralejo for shared activities in the day and bars and clubs close by at night.

If you’re a larger single-sex group you may find some hotels won’t accept you. This is because they want the resort to be enjoyed by all, and have found that stag and hen dos sometimes disrupt their ethos. For example, hotels in the Hilton Grand Vacations chain e.g. Sunset Harbour Club will not accommodate such groups, while Seaside Palm Beach offers special discounts and services tailored to group holidays.
