You’ll want to sample the unbeatable nightlife scene on a Kavos holiday, including the famous main strip with its bars, pubs and clubs. During the day, you can work on your tan on the long, sandy beach. When you’re ready to take things up a notch, it’s time for water sports; this is one of the best places for them on Corfu. Boat trips are a brilliant way to spend an afternoon; just grab a drink and stretch out on the deck. As for daytrips, you’ll have plenty of choice; how about a trip to Aqualand or an outing to Corfu Town?

When you’re ready to kick back and recuperate, it’s time for the beach. An 8km stretch of golden sand is dotted with sunbeds and umbrellas, and shelves gently into dips crystal-clear, shallow sea. If you’re up for a bit of action, you’ll find it out at sea; this is where you can tackle various water sports, like water-skiing and banana boating. There’s plenty of room for everyone too, and the gently sloping beach and shallow waters make it perfect for young toe-dippers and paddlers.

How about relaxing on deck in the Mediterranean sunshine, with a cold beer in hand? It’s no wonder boat trips are so popular on holidays to Kavos; they do it in style here! If you fancy cooling down, Aqualand is a good option for a daytrip; it’s one of the best waterparks on Corfu, with swimming pools, a lazy river, and high slides (including five-lane ones for racing your mates). Grab a drink and a bite to eat at one of the bars and restaurants. You can take the bus if you like, which only takes an hour or so.

If you want to see somewhere different, it’s well worth taking a trip to Corfu Town, which is about an hour’s drive away (or an hour and a half by bus). The island’s capital is brimming with history. The Old Fortress dominates the town, and you can also visit the 16th century St Spiridon’s Church and Mon Repos Palace, birthplace of Prince Philip.

Kavos’ nightlife is nothing less than legendary, and this really is a partygoer’s paradise. It’s been the island’s party capital since the eighties, and 24-7 partying is still part and parcel of Kavos holidays in the summer. Drinks by the beach are a great place to kick things off, before heading for the main strip with all kind of bars and pubs. Then it’s time to hit the clubs; entry won’t break the bank and there are lots of drink deals to be had. In the high season, you can expect to see international DJs (including famous names from the of Ministry of Sound). Booze cruises are another favourite; you can book a party on a boat, complete with top DJs and drinks on the Mediterranean.

Kavos is best for...

Clubbers: Looking for a party holiday? You’ve got it. This is one of Corfu’s top nightlife capitals, and you’ll find lots of bars and clubs by the beach and along the main strip.

Beach lovers: The resort’s golden sands (all 8km of them) are among the islands finest, and they’re perfect for relaxation and adventure alike; you can sunbathe, take a boat trip, and tackle some water sports.

Mates: Beaches and water sports by day, bars and clubs by night; what more could you want from a holiday with your best mates? And if you’re celebrating a forthcoming wedding, why not head here for the best hen and stag party experience in the Med?

June marks the start of summer and it’s the hottest time of the year; just in time for peak party season. Temperatures tend to stay around 20°C and above, with up to 13 hours of sunshine a day, so that’s plenty of time for topping up your tan. If you’re looking for laid-back holidays to Kavos, spring and autumn are the best times to visit. You can explore the area at your leisure without the big crowds or scorching heat. Winters can be pretty wet and a bit on the chilly side, but it’s still a great time to visit if you want to avoid the partygoers and see a very different side to this beautiful island.

Getting around
