What's the weather like on the Costa Brava in July?
The Costa Brava is a popular stretch of coastline in north-east Spain, famous for its beautiful beaches and great weather. It has a Mediterranean climate bringing hot summers and mild winters to the region. July’s the hottest month of the year on the Costa Brava, making it the ideal time to visit if you want to spend lots of time relaxing on the beach. It’s a busy time of year for the region’s resorts, probably due to there being 11 hours of sunshine each day.Averages
The average temperature on the Costa Brava in July is 24ºC, reaching highs of 30ºC in the peak of the afternoon. With this heat comes strong UV levels, so you’ll need to apply plenty of high factor sun cream to protect yourself during the day. After the sun sets, temperatures dip to a low of 17ºC, so you might need a light jumper or shawl for your evenings out. Around 25mm of rain’s predicted over the course of six days, while the Mediterranean Sea’s a warm 24ºC this month, perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
