    Playa Blanca weather January

What's the weather like in Playa Blanca in January?

Sitting on the south coast of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca is a popular Canary Islands beach destination. The resort has a subtropical climate with warm, sunny weather all year round due to Lanzarote’s location in the Atlantic Ocean. Although temperatures are cooler than the summer in January, it’s still nice and warm in Playa Blanca this month. If you don’t like intense heat or if you have young children, January is a great time of year to go on holiday to Playa Blanca.

    Averages

The average temperature in Playa Blanca in January is 17ºC, reaching highs of a warm 21ºC in the hottest part of the day. At 15ºC, it’s still pleasant overnight, but you should bring some light layers for evenings out in the resort. Less than 30mm of rain’s forecast in January, and with just a few wet days on average, the odd shower won’t spoil your holiday. Even the sea’s still relatively warm at this time of year, with the Atlantic waters measuring 19ºC, just a few degrees cooler than in the summer.
