What’s the weather like in Vancouver in November?

The Vancouver weather in November is mild and pleasant for late autumn in Canada. This wonderful Canadian city has a temperate climate which means temperatures don’t fall too low this month, but there’ll be rain around the region and you’ll need a waterproof jacket.

    Geographical influences

Vancouver’s the capital city of British Columbia, in the far south west of Canada close to the border with America. It’s surrounded by the Fraser River and Strait of Georgia. It’s wonderful coastal location means it doesn’t suffer the extreme cold like much of Canada does and doesn’t get snow in November.

Expect to see rain in Vancouver at this time, with an average of 275mm across 19 rain-affected days. The average daytime temperature can be pleasantly in double digits, with highs of 13°C, with occasional lows around 7°C on colder days. If you go out in the evening for a walk or a meal you’ll need to take a jacket, because it can fall to just 3°C. The weather in Vancouver in November still produces around four hours of sunshine from nine hours of daylight. The sun doesn’t set until nearly 5.50pm at the start of November. The temperature of the surrounding waters will be about 9°C and the humidity should measure 80%.
