What's the weather like in Vancouver in May?
Located on the west coast of Canada, just a short distance from the border with the United States, Vancouver has an oceanic climate influenced by the Pacific. In May, Vancouver is pleasantly warm but sometimes wet, so although you’ll see plenty of sunshine at this time of year you’ll need a rain coat or umbrella to protect yourself from the frequent spells of rain.
Averages
In May the average temperature in Vancouver is a mild 13°C, with highs of 16°C in the peak of the day making this a lovely time of year for sightseeing in the city. Around 14 days are wet this month, but with 70mm of rain expected during May any showers should be short-lived. To prepare for all weather make sure you pack warm layers and a waterproof jacket, especially as temperatures dip to 9°C at night.
