“Nice hotel—beware the restaurant”
Nice hotel, lovely staff—for the most part. The restaurant servers upsell hard and are not forthcoming about prices. Menu seems intentionally misleading. Our dinner for two was over 500 euros and nowhere near worth that. Wine was double what the same restaurant offers down the beach, with similar food. Cheapened the whole experience and left a bad taste in our mouths.

“A stunning 5 star accommodation near kotor old town.”
An exceptional hotel — and an unforgettable stay This was our first visit to Montenegro and Kotor. We are experienced travellers and have stayed in many 5-star hotels around the world, including some exceptional Michelin-starred dining experiences, so our expectations are high. Terra genuinely exceeded them. LOCATION Around 30 minutes from Tivat Airport, with Andjela, the Concierge, arranging our Mercedes E-Class transfer perfectly. The location is fantastic — around 2 miles from Kotor Old Town. Simply turn left out of the hotel and walk along the coastal road. The breathtaking views make the 2 miles an absolute breeze, and the walk itself becomes part of the experience. THE PEOPLE Andjela was our first contact by email and greeted us personally on arrival, showing us around with genuine passion and enthusiasm. She then took us to the beautiful outdoor restaurant, with the private beach area directly opposite and luxury sun beds. We met Lazar, the Waiter/Maître d’, who was simply exceptional. He knew the menu inside out and guided us through it brilliantly. We arrived at around midday intending to have lunch — four hours later we were still there! Wonderful food, drinks, surroundings and service. At breakfast, Gustavo, our Waiter, was fantastic, as was the gentleman working alongside him whose name unfortunately escapes me. And a special mention to the Chef, whose food was fresh, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The housekeeping team also deserve huge praise. Our Superior Sea View room was spacious, beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. The whole hotel was spotless. THE FOOD WOW! We originally planned to eat out every evening, and did have a couple of lunches in the Old Town. But the food at Terra was so good that we ended up eating at the hotel every night. The lobster dish was expensive but quite honestly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We’ve eaten at Heston Blumenthal’s 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, Tom Kerridge and restaurants associated with Michel Roux Jr., so we have experienced some exceptional food — and the food at Terra was genuinely memorable. For a small 12-bedroom boutique hotel, the quality is remarkable. OVERALL What makes Terra special is the combination of the setting, food and, above all, the people. The service feels genuine — the staff genuinely care about the hotel and their guests. Andjela, Lazar, Gustavo, the Chef and the entire team made our stay incredibly special. This was our first visit to Montenegro, but it certainly won’t be our last. If we return to Kotor, Terra will absolutely be where we stay. Thank you to everyone at Terra for an unforgettable stay. “Amazing place, stunning views and fabulous staff”
Rajka, Stanka, Andela, Lazar and Goran could not do enough for us during our fantastic stay in this idyllic hotel and resort. It was exactly what we wanted! Peaceful, beautiful, incredible scenery, gorgeous food at the restaurant and staff were absolutely amazing! Our return flight was hugely delayed and even after we left they still helped us organise taxis to make things easier to bear. The room was fabulous and pool and ocean, sublime. Clean and tidy everywhere and helpful, efficient staff! Thank you all

“Incredible food, wonderful service, stunning location!”
After travelling extensively around the world for both business and pleasure, it's incredibly rare to find a hotel and restaurant where every single detail is executed so flawlessly. From the moment we arrived, the level of service, warmth and genuine hospitality was exceptional. A special mention has to go to Gustavo, whose attention to detail and effortless professionalism made our first visit truly memorable. He struck that perfect balance of being attentive without ever being intrusive, and his passion for creating a fantastic guest experience really shone through. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for our final night of our holiday. Unfortunately, Gustavo wasn't working that evening, and we immediately realised just how much of an impact he had made. However, the General Manager Lazar Pantovic ensured our final evening was every bit as special. He went above and beyond to make sure we finished our holiday on the perfect note, and surprised us with an impromptu visit to their sister restaurant (in the hotel golf buggy) for deserts. That level of care, thoughtfulness and pride in delivering an exceptional experience is something you simply don't come across very often. The impeccable attention to detail, outstanding food, beautiful surroundings and genuinely exceptional service have made this one of the best hospitality experiences we've had anywhere in the world. I don’t often write reviews, but want to call out these special individuals who went above and beyond in their service. Thank you both!
