Known for its magnificent horseshoe beach, clear, shallow waters and jam-packed with attractions including zoos and the island’s best water parks, holidays in Caleta de Fuste are perfect if you’re travelling with kids. You’ll also find some of the best water sports around, plus championship golf courses, sailing and upbeat nightlife with a good choice of restaurants and waterfront bars. The best testament to the resort’s popularity is the number of repeat visitors; tourists who have fallen in love with everything that it has to offer and make their Caleta de Fuste holidays the highlight of their calendar.
Things to do
If you can bear to tear yourself from the white-sanded beach, you’ll find that the resort offers plenty to see and do. The harbour offers sailing trips and water sports, and is a great place to learn to windsurf and scuba dive. Keen golfers can test their skills at the 18-hole Fuerteventura Golf Club, with courses to suit nervous newbies and seasoned pros. If you’re away with kids, plan a day trip to swim with sea-lions in the island’s fantastic zoo, or cool off on a hot day with a splash around at Acua Water Park, in nearby Corralejo.
Check out Oasis Park Zoo
Caleta de Fuste is home to some of the best wildlife that you’ll find in the Canary Islands thanks to the amazing Oasis Park Zoo. This one-of-a-kind zoo offers you the chance to check out over 250 kinds of animals whilst riding around on the back of a camel. There’s the choice of three restaurants to dine at whilst there, which serve local and international food. If you want to get a little closer and interact with the animals, a petting zoo gives you the chance to touch and befriend many furry companions.
Water sport fun
With most of the fun and excitement being set around the gorgeous beaches in Caleta de Fuste, you’ll discover such classics as diving, jet skiing or kayaking to try whilst on holiday. But if you prefer to stay nice and dry, one of the popular things to do is take a submarine trip around the bay.
