Elenite
Best for: Families who like everything close at hand
Elenite is the sort of place where you can unpack on day one and barely think about going anywhere else. Pools, restaurants, entertainment and a waterpark are all part of the resort, making it a favourite with families who’d rather spend their week enjoying themselves than organising everything. Sveti Vlas
Best for: Couples and slower-paced holidays
Sveti Vlas sits right next to Sunny Beach but has a completely different feel. The marina sets the pace here, with waterfront cafés, newer hotels and quieter beaches, while Sunny Beach is only a short journey away whenever you’re in the mood for a busier evening. Burgas is the nearest airport.
Nessebar
Best for: Couples and mixed-age groups
Few beach resorts come with a UNESCO-listed Old Town. In Nessebar, centuries-old churches and cobbled streets sit on a small peninsula, while the newer side of town is home to beaches and All Inclusive resorts – including Aqua Paradise, a favourite with families looking for a waterpark on the doorstep.
