Hotel is manly German who are also rude pushing you out the way giving you dirty looks for no reason . I have been visiting sunny beach for 10 years we won't be going back . “Rude staff and inedible food!”
Other than the location this hotel has absolutely nothing going for it! The staff are very rude and not many speak English, which in a major tourist resort with many English speaking guests isn't ideal. I had to actually complain to Jet 2 regarding a member of staff who was extremely rude to myself and my 71 year old mother and actually physically put her hands on my mother whilst shouting at her in what I assume was Bulgarian. The food is inedible and you probably wont even recognise what half of it is supposed to be. We were only Bed and Breakfast thankfully, but even that was a chore to find something palatable! You also will need to go to the bar or shop outside the hotel if your not All Inclusive as they will categorically not serve you anything even if your wanting to pay. If your happy to get up before 7am to be able to get a sunbed then this is the place for you!! Even with signs all around saying no access to sunbeds before 9am the staff take absolutely no notice. Half of the pool also ends up in the shade by lunchtime so you will be lucky to see any sunshine even if you are fortunate enough to get a bed. Also if health and safety is your thing you will have a field day here! The lifeguards generally consist of 2 highly unhealthy looking old men who sit and chain smoke all day and occasionally blow a whistle! The kids pool has some form of fake grass type stuff laid around it which is not fixed and is a major trip hazard. The kids playground should be condemned and is not fit for purpose. On a slightly positive note the cleaning staff are lovely and came every day if we needed them. The rooms were basic but livable. All in all its not somewhere I would ever return and has put me off Bulgaria which is a shame as Sunny Beach in itself is lovely. I think companies like Jet 2 really need to keep a closer eye on the hotels they are endorsing.

“3/5”
I really like the look and atmosphere of the hotel, and the receptionist was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately, my experience with the bar staff was quite different. The way they spoke to me was very rude and unprofessional, which really affected my overall impression of the hotel. It’s a shame because the hotel has a lot of potential, but the attitude of the bar staff takes away from the experience. I hope the hotel management sees this feedback and takes the necessary steps to improve the situation. With better customer service, this hotel could be a much better experience for its guests.

“Great Hotel, Poor Communication and Customer Care”
We recently stayed at Glarus Beach Hotel in Sunny Beach, and overall the hotel itself was excellent. It was spotlessly clean, in a great location, and the facilities were very good. The rooms were quite basic but comfortable enough for our stay. The food was probably the weakest part of the hotel. It was terrible, the quality could definitely be improved. This is why we did not upgrade to all inclusive. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the staff. Almost none of the staff spoke English and were very rude. We only came across one member of staff who could, and even then, communication was very difficult. In a popular tourist destination that welcomes so many British and Irish guests, we feel it’s essential that there are enough staff members who can communicate in English. It made even simple requests frustrating. One incident was particularly disappointing. My friend was leaving the dining room with a coffee and some bread for her sick child in bed, when a member of staff physically stopped her by putting a hand on her and repeatedly saying “no, no, no.” There was no attempt to explain the rule in English or communicate politely. Regardless of the hotel’s policy, physically grabbing a guest is completely unacceptable. Even the lifeguards couldn’t communicate in English, which we found quite concerning. In an emergency involving a child or another guest, clear communication is incredibly important. The hotel itself has so much going for it, but the customer service really lets it down. A few more English-speaking staff members and a friendlier attitude would make a huge difference to the overall guest experience. Overall, I’d rate the hotel 2 out of 5 stars. It has great potential, but improvements in customer service and communication are badly needed, and rooms could do with a little upgrade.
