What’s the weather like in Vienna in May?
The Vienna weather in May feels very summer-like with warm temperatures and plenty of pleasant sunshine. There’s no need for thick layers like in spring and winter, but watch out for brief showers around the Austrian capital.

Vienna enjoys a picturesque setting on the banks of the Danube River. It’s in the north-east of Austria, away from the cooler Alps in the west. Rainfall’s actually a little higher in summer compared to the other seasons, but that won’t spoil your visit to this charming and historic city.
