What’s the weather like in Orlando in September?
Orlando in the southeastern Unites States has subtropical weather due to its closeness to the Tropic of Cancer. This means the city’s warm all year round and has two fairly distinct seasons. Summer’s hot and wet and winter’s cooler and drier. September’s one of the wettest months of the year although rain often comes in short and heavy downpours or thunderstorms. You’ll still get lots of sun if you’re going at this time though.
The average high in Orlando is 32ºC in September, and things stay nice and warm in the evenings. Temperatures only fall to 22ºC at night so you should be fine in shorts and t-shirt. You might want to bring a waterproof jacket though as there’s 160mm of rain over 13 days, and humidity’s very high. You can expect 12 hours of daylight each day with eight hours of sunshine at a very high UV level, so remember to bring your sun cream. Sunset’s at 7.45pm at the start of the month and gradually gets earlier.
