    Florida weather January

What’s the weather like in Florida in January?

If you’re looking for the perfect destination for a family holiday, there’s no better option than Florida. The state is famed for its amazing theme parks, tropical weather and beautiful scenery that makes it a year round holiday destination.

    Geographical influences

Florida is located in the south-east of the USA. It’s home to miles of golden beaches with the Atlantic Ocean on one side while the other overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Florida weather in January is the coldest of the year, but it’s still very warm with mild temperatures throughout the month. It’s a great time to visit the Disney World theme parks because most families tend to visit in the summer. If you travel further south, you can explore the Everglades National Park or head to Miami for its stunning beaches.

Temperatures range from 9°C at night to highs of 24°C during the day. You’ll have at least ten hours of sunshine to enjoy each day, which is quite a lot considering it’s the middle of winter. Humidity levels are quite high at 76%, which is controlled with winds of up to 8mph. The sea water is mild and perfect for a relaxing swim with an average water temperature of 24°C. The average rainfall is around 60mm, which means there’s a good chance you’ll see some rain during your stay but it’s quite dry compared to the summer months.
