What’s the weather like in Dalyan in August?

The Dalyan weather in August is hot, dry and very sunny. This charming resort on Turkey’s south west coast, in the Dalaman region, enjoys its best weather at this time with glorious blue skies and warm waters at the nearby beaches. It’s a popular time to visit this wonderful spot.

    Geographical influences

Dalyan is a pretty town to the east of Marmaris in the south of Turkey. It’s by the River Dalyan and about 5km from the coast. Because it’s not right by the shores of the south Aegean Sea, it doesn’t get as much of a cooling breeze in August as other seaside resorts.

The weather in Dalyan in August sees an average daytime high temperature of 35°C on the hottest days. The average during the day is 27°C, dipping to 20°C on rare cooler days. The night time temperature will also be around 20°C, so it’s a good idea to check your hotel has air conditioning. The sun seems to last forever at this idyllic town in the Dalaman region. It shines for an average of 13 hours each day and doesn’t set until after 8pm for most of the month. Rainfall here is rare during August. Just 3mm falls on average across August and chances are you’ll see no rain at all on your holiday. The south Aegean Sea is very inviting with an average temperature of 26°C. The wind speed is low at 6mph but the UV level is high, so use plenty of sunblock.
