Puerto de La Cruz is on the northern coast of Tenerife, which is one of the most westerly Canary Islands. It’s at the base of the wonderful La Orotava valley, which means it gets slightly less rain and a bit more sunshine than other towns along the northern shores. Resorts in the north have a marginally cooler and wetter climate to those in the south. This is because the wind and rain that can sometimes affect Tenerife, reaches the island from a northerly direction.Averages
