The weather in Reykjavik in February is very similar to January with very low temperatures and not much sunshine. If you don’t mind the cold, you can enjoy exploring the city at the quietest time of the year. You’ll need to pack plenty of layers though, as temperatures are known to fall below freezing at night.

Reykjavik weather in February is influenced by its location in southwest Iceland. Being so close to the coastline, the region rarely sees temperatures drop below -15°C. This is because of the North Atlantic Current that helps to control temperatures in the area. However, Atlantic winds are common near the coast and tend to be quite chilly in winter.
