    Madeira weather June

What’s the weather like in Madeira in June?

Located off the northwest coast of Africa, the Portuguese island of Madeira has a Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. In June Madeira is warm and sunny and the mild seas mean this is a good time of year for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing on the golden sands with a good book.

With average daytime temperatures hovering around 22°C by the end of the month, holidays to Madeira in June are perfect for relaxing on the beach or exploring the local sights. Madeira experiences highs of 25°C in June so you’ll need to come prepared with plenty of sun cream. Lows of 18°C mean you’ll also need warmer layers for the evenings though. With just 9mm of rain expected this month, there’s very little chance of wet weather. Each day has around ten hours of sun and 14 hours of daylight, with sunrise at around 7.40am at the start of June.
