“Superb value for money and great location.”
Our first visit to Alicante for our annual lads trip. Chose heat for its location and reviews. We were not disappointed as it was excellent. We arrived early at 1pm and received a friendly welcome and an offer to put our bags in storage until the rooms were ready - even got a whatsapp once ready. The hotel is a beautiful old building with modern interior. Two small lifts or stairs to access the rooms. The rooms are bright and modern with tv, fridge & tea & coffee facilities. plenty of storage. lots of lighting options and sockets for charging your things up. The bathroom has a modern sliding door , large walk in shower with a standard shower and rainfall shower option. Large sink with mirror above & good lighting. Shampoo, soaps & shower gel. The rooms were cleaned every day. The only downside was the roof top bar / breakfast area was closed for renovation (although nice to see money being put back in for improvement). However the cafeteria bar down the side was reserved for guests breakfasts until lunch time. It’s in a beautiful square facing a lovely church and views of the castle. A lovely sun trap too with seating inside and out. It was E11.50 for as much as you can eat with lots of cooked options, continental and breads and cakes. Two good coffee machines and a choice of juices & even Cava if you fancied it. Good to see a separate gluten free option area too. What really stood out were the staff all of who were extremely friendly and helpful.

“Fabulous”
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this great hotel. The apartment we had was spotlessly clean and a great size. Having two bathrooms was also a real bonus! The design of the hotel is a lovely mix between old character and modern interior with beautiful exposed stonework in parts. We usually stay in 4 or 5 star hotels but after reading the reviews for this hotel (rated 2.5 star on Jet2) we thought we would give it a try given its excellent location. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old town and next to the stunning Basilica. We are so glad we chose to stay here and feel that the hotel should at least be a 4 star with 5 stars for service. We loved the friendly staff and boutique feel of the hotel. Check in and check out was a breeze! The hotel caters for different sized groups of travellers with rooms that range from doubles to large apartments. The apartments have additional pull down beds plus a sofa bed, so would be great for families too. The hotel can also provide a pre bookable airport transfer for €25 so we took advantage of this and was taken back to the airport by the lovely lady who’s in charge of marketing for the hotel (sorry we didn’t catch your name). Many thanks to all the staff at La Milagrosa for a fab girls weekend away. We will be back and will recommend the hotel to family and friends.

“Excellent”
Had a thoroughly enjoyable room-only city break. Straightforward trip from airport on C6 bus. As others have said, Milagrosa is perfectly located in the Old Town sector, within a stone’s throw of beach, shops, restaurants – near the castle – hotel is quiet, comfy & the staff are friendly and helpful. Especially liked the guests’ lounge – we arrived way too early for the room to be ready, however were able to use one of two shower rooms to sort ourselves out – left suitcases etc. in controlled secure section, went out and checked-in later that day. In the lounge there’s a filtered water dispenser to allow filling up of water bottles – and an espresso coffee machine - both free when we stayed. Only two of us - had triple room which included hairdryer, toiletries, fridge, kettle & tea/coffee facilities and small balcony. Air con did its job. Our room didn’t have a safe. A free-standing portable security box was available but we opted to use the hotel safe. Beach umbrellas free on loan - beach towel 5 euro for duration (plus returnable deposit). Nice atmosphere on the promenade in the evening. Castle all lit up on the hillside. Watched the world go by in one of the beach-front bars. The Old Town is lovely at night and there’s a good variety of takeaways, tapa bars and restaurants to suit just about every taste.

“City Chic”
Jet2 - 4 night city break Great location - easy walking around the city/old town. Santa Cruz Basílica is on your front door, just across from the hotel. Beach/promenade approx 150m from the hotel. Shopping mall - Palza Mar 2, is just under a mile away, approx a 20 mins walk from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Towels changed daily. Tea/Coffee making facilities. Air con. No safety deposit box. No pool and Rooftop bar is closed. Plenty of bars/restaurants close by. Beach front is approx 150m walk from the hotel. Staff are very helpful, courteous and excellent language skills. The little restaurant next door - La Cova De Santa Maria, provides breakfast and consists of a nice mixture of continental and cooked. Cheeses, cold cooked meats, cooked eggs (scrambled) and cold hard boiled, bacon, sausages, various breads/rolls, croissants and other pastries. Cereals, museli, fruit and dairy free milk options. Very pleasant & accommodating staff in here also. As you’re on the edge of old town there is so many little streets/restaurants to explore. Bus route - we got the C6 public bus from the airport into the Plaza Peurto Del Mar. You buy your tickets outside at the bus stop. €4.70. The bus does a loop from the airport down into the city and back round again. Then a short walk up to the hotel. All very simple and stress free. (Saves a fortune on airline transfers and taxis) the hotel does offer an airport transfer too for €25. There are plenty of convenience shops around with a small one out the back of the hotel and a Spar down near the promenade. Loads of pharmacies dotted about on nearly every street too. The castle is nearby. Take a hike up to the top or there’s also a lift available.

“Lovely hotel in the Centre of old town, great location”
Great location, close to everything, on the doorstep of Santa Maria Basilica. Incredibly clean, the room was an apartment with a small kitchen area and two balconies. Staff were very helpful, they provided a map & helpful guidance. Breakfast at the adjoining cafe was lovely. We used the hotel airport shuttle service. We would stay here again.
