Pont D'en Gil

Visit an incredible natural site on Menorca's beautiful east coast with a trip to the Pont D'en Gil. A natural bridge formed in the rocky cliff that reaches out into the sea, it's a lovely place to see on your holiday to Cala'n Forcat.

A couple of kilometres north of Cala'n Forcat's beach, you can get to the Pont D'en Gil on foot or by bike. As you explore the clifftops by the bridge, you'll have fabulous views. The best way to see the bridge, though, is from the water, so go on a boat trip and set sail around the coast. If your boat is small enough, you'll be able to pass through the hole in the cliff. If you're on a trip that includes some snorkelling time, you can jump into the sea and go for a swim in the shadow of the impressive bridge.

If you've booked a diving trip, you'll then get into the water and explore the hidden cave Sa Cigonya. Only visible from the sea, the cave has a depth of 300 metres and scuba diving is the only way to enter it. For an extra-special experience, book a sunset cruise where you'll visit the Pont D'en Gil as the sun sinks into the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. Make sure you take your camera as you'll want to remember the spectacular view of the bridge with the sun disappearing behind it.

If you have time after your trip to the Pont D'en Gil, continue your sightseeing at the Castle of Santa Agueda. Or relax in the sun at the Playas de Algaiarens before browsing the shops of Cala'n Forcat.
