Playas De Algaiarens Spain

Menorca is famous for its stunning coastline and unspoilt beaches, and you can experience the very best of this at the Playas de Algaiarens. Around half an hour's drive from Cala'n Forcat, Cala Algaiarens sits on Menorca's northwest coast, and has two spectacular beaches for you to enjoy.

Cala Algaiarens is a beautiful cove split into two beaches, with Playa des Tancats to the west being the bigger of the two. A picture-perfect stretch of pale sand, the beach is nice and quiet despite the incredible scenery. There are no sun beds and parasols adding clutter, so lay down your towel in the soft sand, sit back in the warm Mediterranean sunshine and enjoy the pristine view.

You won't find any facilities for buying refreshments either, so make sure you bring plenty of water and some snacks for when you get hungry.

A ten minute walk around the bay is Playa des Bot, which is even quieter than its neighbour. There aren't any water sports, so all you'll hear is the sound of the sea gently lapping on the shore as you lie back in the sun. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing experience at the beach, this is the place for you. When it's time to cool off, go for a dip in the crystal clear sea, which is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The beach shelves quite gently, perfect if you have little ones.

After a tranquil day on the sands of the Playas de Algaiarens, visit the ancient Castle of Santa Agueda in the late-afternoon sun. Then head back to Cala'n Forcat and search the town's shops for some great souvenirs before you settle down for dinner.
