Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village

Overlooking the stunning Bay of Alcudia and adjacent to the long sandy Platja de Muro, Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village is the ideal choice for a luxury family getaway. The historic walled city of Alcudia is just down the road, while thanks to Majorca’s small size a day trip to Palma de Mallorca is also possible. Activities for the younger guests are split into three age groups. The little monkeys, aged 4-7 can dive into the ball pit, while the eagles, aged 13-17, may wish to fly away from their parents and make new friends. The intermediate age group can join the underwater world of the dolphins. Maybe splashing around in the aquafun pool during the day, before dancing at the mini disco in the evening. Please note the Dolphin and Eagle clubs only operate in July and August.

The Gregal restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner year round. Meals are served buffet style with cheese, meat, fish, salads and pizza among the options on offer. During high season the seafront Embat Beach provides additional choice. Here, you can start the day with waffles and pancakes, while later on you can sample gazpacho and tortillas. For that extra special meal with your partner, select a Mediterranean dish from the a la carte menu (surcharge applies). Children and parents will both love the 1980s American-themed Burger House, dishing up fast food.

The seven bars provide options for refreshing alcoholic, soft and hot drinks from 9am to 11.45pm. Choose from the 25 different beers and a wide range of cake and biscuit options to accompany your coffee. There’s no shortage of cocktails either. Maybe try a strawberry daiquiri while watching the live entertainment, or a Majorcan-style mojito whilst relaxing poolside, or in the lounge?

A wide selection of room types are on offer, to suit the needs of different families and groups. As standard you will find a king sized bed, TV, microwave, safe, coffee maker, hairdryer, an iron, bathrobes and slippers. And as you’d expect at a 5 star hotel there’s complimentary WiFi and air conditioning. For a longer stay consider upgrading to a sea view room, giving you the option of relaxing on your own private terrace while watching the memorising Mediterranean.

Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village partners with Max Hürzeler, offering bike hire and guided cycle tours. Thanks to the large secure garage space, there is space for storing 1,200 bicycles onsite. After a day of cycling you can relax your muscles in the spa, with sports massages among the services available. Here, there is also a whirlpool, thermal beds that activate your circulation, water jets, a Turkish bath and a sauna.

Looking for an easier way to get around? There's a handy bus stop nearby, with the journey to Alcudia taking just 20 minutes. Within the fortifications of the Old Town you will find the 13th century Orati de Santa Anna church and a Monographic Museum presenting archaeological exhibits from Roman times. The capital, Palma de Mallorca, can also be reached by public transport. Don’t miss the famous seafront cathedral, afterwards explore the Old Town's cobbled streets or head into the Arabic quarter, known for its art galleries and boutiques.
