“Relaxing!”

What a beautiful hotel! We only stayed here one night before our flight home, but it was well worth it to relax in the geothermal pools and spend time in Furnas. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet in the morning had an extensive collection of really good food. The hotel is deceiving from the outside. It’s very modern and updated inside. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.

“Most impressed”

Great location, great amenities - really loved our short stay here. Food was awesome they catered really well for me (I have a very restricted diet and they aced it). Most impressed by the restaurant staff. Loved the pool and spa waters (they look murky) but feel great.

“Nice hotel, underwhelming restaurant”

The location is very good, the hotel nice. The rooms are very small. The restaurant did not convince. And there should be more staff or they should be more attentive (pool, breakfast). All in all it could be improved.

“A Truly Exceptional Luxury Stay – Worth Every Penny”

Our stay at Octant Furnas was unforgettable. When you think of luxury, you think of thoughtful details, convenience, and genuine warmth — and this hotel delivered all of that and more. The staff was outstanding. Every single person we interacted with made us feel welcomed and cared for. Special thanks to Jerusa and Gabriel, who went above and beyond to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday with a handmade “J”-shaped cake and a heartfelt song at breakfast. Moments like that stay with you. Dining was phenomenal. The restaurant and bar offered delicious food and a beautiful ambiance. Breakfast/brunch was a highlight each morning — fresh local produce, pastries, hot dishes, and my first-ever pastel de nata (now officially obsessed). The spa experience was exceptional. Our couples massage included access to a serene relaxation room before and after the treatment, complete with tea and cookies. It felt indulgent, peaceful, and perfectly designed. Other touches made the stay feel even more special — walking comfortably around in a robe between services, enjoying spiced corn nuts with my evening cocktails (thanks to a bartender who noticed I loved them), and ending the night in the thermal pool, which was magical. What meant the most was the kindness and joy the staff brought to our stay. We came to São Miguel to celebrate a milestone birthday, and we left with a deep admiration for the island and its people. Octant Furnas will be our go-to spot every time we return — and we plan to return often.

“Beautiful hotel, amazing staff”

Wow. Beautiful hotel. Beautiful property. Amazing service. 10/10! My husband and I stayed at Octant Furnas for 5 nights earlier this month. We had a wonderful time. From the moment we checked in, the staff did whatever they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Mauro in experiences went above and beyond. We have some very specific dietary restrictions and the hotel tried to accommodate us however they could. The pools were amazing. We got an upgrade to the room with the plunge pool, thanks to Amex platinum. HIGHLY recommend Octant Furnas!
