“Awesome Montenegro”

Stayed at Palmon Bay on 19th October for 7 nights. Upgraded to Deluxe Room with partial sea view for extra 70 Euros which was well worth it for view of surrounding area. Only stayed B&B and breakfast had nice coffee as well as apple juice that was not watered down unlike on a recent trip.Choice of cereal and hot and cold breakfast choice hit the spot. On site Spa which was free to use made hotel worthy of 4 star rating .Had a relaxing massage that was so good I arranged a second on my last day. Only trip I did was bus journey to Kotor and the hour journey skirted picturesque views of sea and surrounding mountains.Bus journey alone was worth effort and hour journey flew by. As I was staying B&B I had researched local restaurants and Jedrenjak which was a short distance from hotel had excellent reviews.I arrived with high expectations and I was not dissapointed by this family run business.The view was to die for ,the food quality was amazing and the service was out of this world.The hospitality of this restaurant was so good I ate there 3 of 7 nights and was fortunate this was last week they opened prior to season closedown.If you are in Igalo I could not recommend this restaurant high enough and it truly was the highlight of my trip to beautiful Montenegro. Having been to Croatia in Sep 26 it is clear Montenegro with both future private and public investment is a hidden gem in the making if one or two issues could be overcome. The only cons was no ability to take credit card at Kotor Bus Station as well as Airport Terminal.I left today and the departure terminal was to small to handle 3 flights to UK leaving within 10 mins of each other.Manchester flight was allocated gate 6 for departure but then Birmingham flight leaving at same time was allocated gates 5 and 6 while there was no information on screens for Manchester flight.We then heard an airport official shouting from gate 4 for Manchester flight to board.Far too chaotic. However this last experience will not prevent me returning to Montenegro and staying at Palmon Bay Hotel with my now favourite restaurant Jedrenjak a short walk.

“A pleasant sea shore spa hotel”

Attractive location in the stand boulevard from Igalo to Herceg Novi old town. Own pool and sun bathing area between the hotel and sea. Rooms view an own balcany and a sea view available. Very nice well kept garden between the hotel building and the pool area by the sea. A SPA that offers massage, face etc. treatments with which by wife has been very satisfied with. Good buffet breakfast: A large variety of good ingredients. Buffet dinner also available. Large variety, but some evenings we did not find attractive main dish alternatives. A couple of evenings the dish selection at the hot dish section was luke warm instead of being hot. This was fortunately corrected we made a remark of that. The dining/breakfast room is like in big congress hotels. If you want to have dinner at a restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, this is not the one. The house keeping personnell seemed to be too busy to clean your room if you had the ”Please don’t”t disturb” sign on at the time the cleaning person happened to be at your door in his/her regular round.

“Some good, some negatives”

Some good some and some negatives at this hotel. Was so excited after reading some of the reviews. On arrival we got to reception just after 1pm we expected to not check in until later which is the usual norm but, the receptionist did not greet us no smile just looked at us and said no check in until after 2pm. We were good with that but confused as there was a American lady checking in !! We paid extra £120 for a superior see view room, it did not disappoint the room was large, spotless with lots of extras and the view was amazing worth every penny. The food breakfast is good something for everyone. Other meals look good but just not what I would like. I struggled massively with the food. location is good many wonderful restaurants just outside hotel, we went to a different one every night I would highly recommend you try some. If you go to the right just out side these are exquisite.highly recommended for a visit. Spa, we went along to check it out spoke to an older lady and politely asked if we could look around. She did not seem happy but gave us over shoes. My husband has big feet so these did not fit he stayed out by comparison a young couple came in for same reason and got a guided tour while I was basically ignored. I am older but was excited to have some treatments but left feeling unwelcome and to be honest embarrassed. We did not go back sadly. We booked trips out some wonderful sights as well as that the buses are just by the hotel. There are boats trips too. To finish we enjoyed our time here the views are amazing, most staff were so polite and friendly. The area is quite but so beautiful sadly I felt this hotel while it is very modern and best in that area was more corporate than tourist and while it is beautiful I would not return.

“Amazing Hotel”

Beautiful hotel, definitely the best in the area, clean friendly staff and Beautiful spa and pool are. Highly recommended. Breakfast delicious with lots of choice. Everything perfect

“First Class Palmon Bay Hotel”

Hi all at Palmon Bay Hotel. The Hotel decor, room and facilities where 10 star - excellent. Breakfast was more than adequate and we eat in the roof top restaurant 1 night and was one of the best meals we had during our 7 night stay. The staff where extremely lovely especially our host some mornings and evenings, Alexandra. Excellently priced and good location for sight seeing. Room was clean and very spacious and bed comfortable. Bathroom facilities excellent. Thanks from Andy & Betty
