“Excellent location”

Hotel in the middle of the “party scene” which lasts until 4am!! Room on 8th floor , and no disturbance to worry about. Helpful reception staff, and excellent breakfast Location of hotel is excellent and walking to St Julians bay and onward into Pembroke was really easy, as was the walk to and along Sliema beachfront.

“Safety risk for female”

The hotel totally violated my privacy rights, as a solo traveller safety is of upmost importance. A man came to me and knew my name, room number and age. Asked me to spend the night with him. Reception admitted giving my details to a friend in a conversation. I had to move rooms but didn’t feel safe at all.

“Average”

The reception were nice , u definitely won’t be getting any sleep anyways for sure music is crazy loud , good hotel but let down by the staff on the pool rooftop . Wanted some fruit so asked breakfast they said not available as breakfast was over I did not have breakfast included btw but was happy to pay , after they said I couldn’t get it I decided to go to the closest shop and bought some fruit we then decided to go up to the pool I brought my fruit with me just in case I wanted it . A staff member then came over and said I couldn’t eat it in the pool as wasn’t bought there although if I wanted fruit I wasn’t able to purchase behind the bar as it wasn’t available and also people eating crisps from outside bought and also people who BOUGHT IN DRINK FROM THE SHOP . I understand that but fruit I felt was a bit much . We moved chairs and I had all my stuff on the table he then came back over and said he already told me and to take my fruit off the table in a rude tone . Bear in mind I hadn’t touched the fruit since the first time he told me no . Think it was a bit much I put a top over it and that was ok? Bit much I thought considering if u can’t provide it I should be allowed to eat it you’d swear it was drugs . Overall hotel hygiene is good , cleaners were bang on everyday with fresh towels etc , reception is nice , pool is good basic but good . Would definitely say more of a hotel to suit late morning partying etc .

“SO Cool!”

I came here for a party holiday and I found this hotel to be brilliant. It is in a very central location, easy to get to bars and places to eat. It can get a bit loud, my room was at the back of the hotel so noise was mostly other guests and not the main road. There is a mall a short walk up the road and lost of shops/supermarkets. The hotel itself is bright yellow so easy to find when returning back. The staff were great and very helpful. My room was cleaned regularly. I loved the rooms, the décor was really cool in my opinion. There is a roof top pool. I only went to the bar and sun loungers. It is quite a small space but I think most hotels in St. Julian's are quite compact - I could be wrong. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would choose SO City for any party trip to Malta.

“Girls Hen Party”

Hotel was fantastic, clean and in the town, Staff very helpful, rooms were also very clean would definately recommend this hotel, Very close to shops, beach, clubs and amenities. Great value for money Noise level was fine, just in case they give you ear plugs but were not needed
