The Waterfront Hotel is set in a popular area on the promenade, a short walk from the centre of the resort of Sliema on the northeast coast of Malta. The hotel overlooks the bay and has views over Manoel Island and beyond to the island's capital, Valletta. The city is a short drive, bus ride or ferry trip away. The hotel has a whitewashed exterior and was completely renovated in 2017. It has a 24-hour reception and Wi-Fi is available throughout. There's a gym where you can work out during your stay, and afterwards you can relax in the heated indoor pool. Outside, there's a sun terrace where you can soak in the sunshine and a pool area with an outdoor swimming pool. Malta is popular with visitors because of its many beaches and warm weather, as well as its family-friendly attractions, historic towns and bustling modern urban centres. The Waterfront Hotel is within walking distance of Font Ghadir beach, which has a rocky shore and a pedestrianised promenade. You can also easily reach Valletta, a cosmopolitan harbour town, for shopping and sightseeing by day. In the evening you can visit some of the many bars and restaurants serving traditional local cuisine.
The Waterfront is 1.4km from Font Ghadir beach, and 800m from the centre of Sliema. Sliema is the largest resort in Malta, and has a wide selection of places to shop, eat and drink, as well as swim in the sea. Keen golfers can visit Royal Malta Golf Club 6.4km away. There's a bus stop 140m from the hotel, and ferry terminal 650m away in Sliema. From here you can make the trip into Valletta. The city is compact but full of things to see and do, including historic architecture and museums. It's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was the European Capital of Culture for 2018.
Open until midnight, The Waterfront's bar serves drinks and a la carte Mediterranean snacks. The hotel's buffet restaurant offers breakfast and dinner, while the a la carte restaurant serves breakfast, late breakfast and lunch. There's also a wide choice of other dining options in the surrounding area.
The Waterfront is a short walk from Manoel Island, where there's an adventure park and a fort with views over the bay and Valletta.
All rooms at The Waterfront are light and spacious. They have neutral decor with bright pops of colour, as well as modern bathrooms.

Good food quality and peaceful atmosphere
During my three-month trip, I often went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. It is located in the center of Sliema, in a lively neighborhood. A warm welcome and a smiling and courteous staff. The service was fast, the food of good quality and the atmosphere peaceful. I went there one evening with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed ourselves. A special thanks to the waiter Ganesh for his professionalism, but especially for his respectful kindness. A wonderful meeting with a man passionate about his work. I strongly advise you to go there and try it.
Totally brilliant stay
This is a well run supurb hotel. We stayed in a sea view room which was really reasonable, the view was lovely. There was a good coffee machine, plus instant and a fridge in the room. The room was replenished daily. Staff were very friendly and guests were invited to have free wine or beer between 5 and 6 each night. The indoor swimming pool was lovely and opened early enough to enable a pre breakfast swim. The hotel also had free entrance to the aqua lunar opposite. Which charges 10 euros. We had a very early flight and they even offered to pack brecky for us. We ate one night in the bar, the food was lovely as were the cocktails. Would definitely return. Thankyou
Awesome Experience
We stayed from 31st December-7th January 23 at Waterfront Hotel. Our room was a family side sea view room, it was superb, and great views. The room was very clean and comfortable, all credit goes to the cleaning staff. The staff made us feel very welcome and friendly and they went above and beyond to help. The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and even for vegetarians like ourselves. The location was excellent you can’t get better, everything nearby buses, shopping centre, restaurants, cafes etc. Overall we had an awesome experience and we would definitely recommend to others and in the future we would return to this hotel 100%.
