The Preluna Hotel & Spa sits right on the seafront, with direct access to a private beach and Silema's charming promenade. A great selection of classy bars, restaurants, and boutiques line the peninsula to Marsamaxett harbour. And you're only 200m from the sleekest shopping complex in Malta.
When you're not flexing those bargain-hunting muscles, head to the hotel beach club for cocktails by the pool. It overlooks the bay, with panoramic views of Malta's capital, Valletta. Here you can enjoy grilled snacks during the summer months (May 1st to October 31st). With a kids' pool attached, it's a glorious spot for soaking up the Maltese sun with your family. And if you fancy a dip in the sea, you can walk straight into those blue Mediterranean waters from the hotel's edge. The nearby coves are teeming with marine life, so it would be worth signing yourself up to the onsite PADI-approved diving school.
There is plenty to keep you busy here, from jet skiing and canoeing to mini-golf and quizzes. When the sun sets, make your way to La Piazza bar for the evening entertainment. If it's nightlife you're after, take a trip out along St Julians Bay to Paceville and party until dawn!
The food keeps giving too, with five restaurants to choose from. The main buffet at Triton serves up delicious Mediterranean and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner as part of the all-inclusive package. Enjoy themed nights, live cooking and outdoor dining on the terrace. A variety of snacks are also available between 11:00 and 16:00.
Head into Sakura for Japanese and sushi a la carte or Sciantusi for everything from fresh Neapolitan pizza to gourmet burgers. Fresh meat and seafood is served from June to September at the Surf & Turf Grill. And you'll want to dine in the Skyroom terrace for panoramic views of the Grand Harbour. There are kids' menus available too.
When 'me-time' calls, head up to the rooftop terrace, where its whirlpool, sunbeds and chill-out vibes await. Or into the spa, complete with an adults-only heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath and more whirlpools! Here you can book yourself a massage or kick back in the relaxation area.
All the rooms at Preluna Hotel & Spa have tiled floors and air conditioning to keep you cool at night. They also have a balcony, satellite TV, high-speed Wi-Fi and a minibar. You can opt for views over the city or the sea.
To make the most of your visit to Malta, why not catch a ferry over to the capital city, Valletta. The harbour is only a short walk from the hotel. You could spend an afternoon exploring the winding streets of the old town or have a traditional dinner in one of the many restaurants. Lose yourself amongst the Cathedral, palaces, and forts.
Back in Sliema, a water park is only a 10-minute drive away. There's a splash playground for little ones and thrilling rides for the rest of the clan. Find more games and a bouncy castle to keep your tots amused. Or stroll along the promenade from St Julian's up to the ferries. Here you'll also find Manoel Island, sitting in the centre of Marsamxett Harbour. It's attached to the mainland by a bridge and was used as a quarantine site in 1592. You can still see the complex today, dating back to the 17th-19th century.
Further along is the Knights of Malta, a limestone fort built in the 18th century and appeared in Games of Thrones. But the hidden gem of Sliema lies just beneath the Surfside restaurant. Here you'll find a cluster of natural lagoons, sheltered from the sea's currents and equipped with swimming pool ladders. A great place to cool off when you're exploring the promenade.

Christmas stay
We stayed at this hotel in November and now in December, and i must say that all the staff have been outstanding.fron David in the restaurant,to Erika in receptionist ,the cleaning services and bar staff have all worked very hard over the Christmas period, well done to all hopefully coming back in march .
Great location and kind service
Rooms are great, view from the hotel is great if you get the SeaView room. Pool area is also nice and useful to relax after long walks. Since hotel is close to a lot of nice restaurants and cafes we didn't get the breakfast but I believe that it is also great! Georgina was so nice - we had several requests and she helped us with everything.
Avoid
Rooms are either pay extra for a sea view at €20 extra per night or look out at slum apartments behind the hotel. It looks like a Travelodge only with less toiletries. No tv channels except cnn. Food was awful. The restaurant staff were a bunch of creepy Caribbean males who made every female feel uncomfortable. Christmas gala dinner was some dark Turkey meat bits wrapped around some uncooked stuffing not an actual Turkey and it was awful. Staff continued to harass guests day after day even when asked to be left alone and stop and I had complained. One female guest was offered a free ‘massage’ and another ended up avoiding breakfast completely despite paying for half board, the staff were so relentless in pestering guests. Also saw these male staff being heavily tipped by elderly females guests for who knows what. Hot tub on the roof is a single hot tub which had to booked in advance and is heated by a fire instead of being electric so wasn’t available to use. Reception staff were not very helpful and were not interested. At dinner you have to pay for tap water even if you have already paid for half board, Avoid!!
