Kalamaki Nightlife Greece: Bars & Clubs

Kalamaki is a quieter resort than some others in Zante out of season, but during the summer months, Kalamaki nightlife is every bit as vibrant as its neighbouring resort of Laganas, with a real party vibe! Nightlife here tends to have a more relaxed and chilled-out feel, with plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars that stay open until the early hours offering drinks deals. Start your night with dinner at one of Kalamaki's traditional Greek tavernas, or enjoy a meal at Buon Amici, an Italian restaurant which has earned rave reviews with visitors to the resort.

Something for everyone

You'll find plenty of English-style bars and pubs hosting karaoke nights and regular pub quizzes, as well as cocktail bars, sports bars and even an Irish pub, so there's something to suit all tastes when it comes to Kalamaki nightlife.

Bring your mates to The Drunk Corner, one of the first sports bars in Zante, where you can watch the game on the big screen with a few beers, or enjoy cocktails at the ever-popular Sugar Reef to start your night. For value-for-money nights out, Cave Bar is a great place for after-dinner drinks.

Lively Laganas

It's just a 5-minute taxi ride from the Kalamaki bars to Laganas, where you can party until the sun comes up at legendary clubs and festivals hosting top DJs and international artists. The Laganas Strip is one of Europe's top nightlife spots, and most people start their night at clubs like Rescue or Zero's.

Don't miss Plus Club either; it's one of Greece's biggest night spots outside Athens. End your night with drinks and dancing until dawn at Waikiki. You'll find plenty of special events too like fancy dress and foam parties, as well as booze cruises and afterparties on Laganas Beach.

For a quieter night out (or if you're still suffering from the previous night's antics!), you'll find smaller bars, tavernas and restaurants on the beachfront in Laganas.

Cocktails in Zante Town

In Zante Town, you'll find plenty of sophisticated wine bars and cosy cafés where you can relax with a cocktail or two after dinner in the centre. Or head a little further afield up Bochali Hill, just up the road from the town. Here you'll find Movida, a chic club with a balcony terrace where you can enjoy stunning views over Zante Town and the coastline while enjoying a few drinks. It still counts as Kalamaki nightlife, but it's mellower, and more laid back for those evenings when you just want to chill out and relax!
