Caretta Beach Holiday Village is a family-friendly resort situated in the town of Kalamaki, Zante. Apartments are equipped with a sofa bed (in addition to a twin or double bed), air conditioning, a hairdryer, a fridge and a TV. There’s also a furnished balcony or terrace, overlooking either the swimming pools or the mountains. A limited number of swim-up options are available, so if you like a spontaneous doggy paddle book early to avoid disappointment.

The island of Zante has a rich cultural history, with plenty of attractions to explore such as museums, ancient ruins, monasteries and the picture-postcard Blue Caves. A bicycle rental service is available at Caretta Beach Holiday Village, ideal if you want to explore the local mountains. For those partial to a certain drink made from fermented grapes, there’s a museum exhibiting the history of winemaking.

The island's capital, Zante Town is under 20 minutes drive away. History lovers won’t want to miss the Byzantine Museum or the remains of a Venetian fortress. If you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of Caretta Caretta turtles. You won’t face a long transfer after your flight, as Zakynthos Airport is just five minutes drive away.
