Skiathos Princess

Skiathos Princess is a family-friendly luxury hotel set in a quiet wooded hillside. It overlooks the Aegean Sea on the island of Skiathos in Greece. The hotel is right on the beach in the heart of the village of Agia Paraskevi. Its landscaped lawns lead down onto a private stretch of sandy beach, and you'll find many places to eat and drink in the area. At Skiathos Princess, the interiors are typically Mediterranean, with whitewashed walls and classical-inspired architectural features. The hotel has two outdoor pools, with views looking out towards the shoreline. It also has four restaurants, a poolside bar and a sun terrace with areas where you can find some shade under the mature trees. During your stay, you can unwind in the spa and use the whirlpool or sauna. You can also book a massage. If you're feeling active, you can work up an appetite by playing table tennis. Younger guests can enjoy the hotel-run kids' club for ages 4 to 11, as well as the indoor playroom or outdoor playground. Skiathos Princess also has a mini club for younger children, aged 6 months to 4 years. In the evenings, several times a week, the hotel puts on musical entertainment.

Platanias village is within walking distance and has a selection of shops and local restaurants. It's also a short stroll to the tavernas on Agia Paraskevi Beach, and the centre with shops and other places to eat. Skiathos Town, the island's capital city, is a short drive of 7km from the hotel. This old harbour town has a fortress and castle, and narrow cobbled streets with shops and places to eat. The town is bustling during the day and is also popular for its bars and nightlife. For a day trip, you can catch a ferry to Skopelos, the setting for the film Mamma Mia.

Skiathos Princess has a buffet restaurant that offers breakfast and dinner. There are two a la carte restaurants, one serving Italian and the other international food. There's also a taverna that provides lunches, including grilled souvlaki, fish and salads. The hotel has two bars, one of which is by the pool.

If you want to keep up with your fitness routine, you can work out at the hotel's gym. Skiathos Princess also organises water sports on the beach.

Every room at Skiathos Princess has its own balcony, terrace or garden area. They all come with a minibar, a safe, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a TV.

Great hotel, takes getting use to but settled in quickly, great breakfast buffet and above average food buffet eat what you want very nice, easy to reach pool and beach if you are not able to walk to far, stayed middle floor which was handy as no lifts so not to many stairs to climb ( 36 ) pool is nice and grounds well looked after, catch bus outside to main town was easy €3.60 for 2 one way, great beach might be a bit crowded high season, clean and well laid out rooms we had full sea view and had great out look,

Spent a week at this resort. Had a fabulous time. The hotel is right on a lovely sandy beach, with loungers, towels and umbrellas provided for guests at no extra cost. There is an outdoor pool, but we didn’t use it as the beach was so nice. Our room was clean and spacious, with plenty of storage space, a large bathroom and a balcony. The air conditioning was a bit noisy but kept the room nice and cool. We requested a kettle, this is free along with an initial few tea bags and coffee sachets, but any more are chargeable. There are 3 supermarkets within easy reach to buy your own at a much cheaper price than the hotel charges. Likewise with water, you get some initially included in your mini fridge but any more are charged. The safe is free. The buffet breakfast was huge with lots of options, from cooked, to cereals, to toast, pancakes, muffins and much more. The buffet is also available for dinner, but we didn’t try this. The pool bar is open all day and lunch and dinner are served here, food is tasty and fresh and dietary restrictions caused no problems. There is also PR Ammos, which is the a la carte restaurant, right by the sand. Unfortunately, the food here seemed overpriced and dietary restrictions were difficult to get catered for. There are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance of the hotel, most of which are much better value for money. Would definitely return.

Housekeeping stolen my watch

Checked out and immediately knew when I got to the airport I had left my Apple Watch. I rang the hotel multiple times with no answer and emailed them multiple times. I got a message 6 days later saying my watch was not left. I tracked my Apple Watch and the location was at the hotel, housekeeping had taken the watch on my check out and the hotel refused to help in any way.
