Take in the view at Smugglers' Cove

A popular sight is Smugglers' Cove as it's ideal for a family day out. The thing that catches people's eye is the shipwreck, or as it's known in Greek, 'Navagio'. You might have seen this shipwreck already as it's probably one of the most photographed beaches in Greece. The wreck occurred when, nearly 30 years ago, bad weather caused the boat to hit the rocks as it tried to flee the Greek Navy because the cargo hold contained contraband cigarettes.

With a stunning view and the interesting shipwreck, you're sure to enjoy Smuggler's Cove. Of course you'll find all the usual features of a beach in Zante too, such as the beautiful, brilliant white sands and crystal blue sea. Bliss!

If visiting Smuggler's Cove is high on your hitlist, you might want to check it's open before you travel. The beach has sometimes been closed for a few months at a time due to risky rockfalls. You can still snap a pic for your socials from a chilled-out boat trip if you want, though!
