Hop on board the Trainaki train

In Zante you can take life at your own pace: go as quickly as you want, or as slowly as you want. To take things a little slower, sign up for a trip on the Trainaki train. You'll then be transported through the lush olive groves and the picturesque villages. Stops include a chance to see the remarkable Vertzagias Caves that are considered to be quite stunning and definitely worth a visit.

Hop back on the train and visit the Vergagio Museum of Folk Art at Pigdakia, a superb chance to check out the local historic art scene. Big parts of the museum contain items that show off the culture that Greece is so proud off. You can find a train leaving every day from Alykanas station at 10.45am, giving you a real chance to discover all that this area has to offer.
