Horseriding in Stalis

Stalis is surrounded by lush, olive-covered mountains, which offer glorious views out to sea. One of the best ways to explore them is on horseback.

For an adventurous day trip, why not join a horse riding tour with Amarillis Stables. The tours are lead by expert trekkers who offer two excursions. The first lasts two hours and starts from the stable grounds, taking you through the stunning countryside and down along the beach. Trek through the heart of the village before returning back to the stables.

The second excursion lasts for 5-6 hours and takes you up mountainous paths and dirt roads into the Crete wilderness. Stop off in the charming village of Mochos for a coffee break before reaching altitudes of 400 metres, where you'll be able to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the island.
