Blue Sea Beach is a family-friendly 5 star hotel, overlooking the majestic Bay of Malia, on the northern coast of Crete. The long and sandy Paralia Stalidas is just metres away, while nearby there’s a water sports centre, as well as hiking and horse riding opportunities.

If you go on holiday to relax there’s sunloungers both poolside and on the beach (the latter reserved for all-inclusive guests). The main restaurant serves buffet style meals. For dinner the chef prepares Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, infused with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices to suit everyone’s taste palates. For sleepy heads a late continental breakfast is served in Ammos, offering panoramic views over the beach. Here all-inclusive guests, staying for the whole week, can also enjoy one evening meal from the a la carte menu. All-inclusive refreshments during meals include draft beer, wine, soft drinks and still water, with filter coffee, tea and juices accompanying your first meal of the day. Other beverages may incur an additional charge.

There are three bars, which combined provide a drinks service from 10am to 1.30am (all-inclusive ends at midnight). Evening entertainment includes live music and folklore dancing.

Standard rooms offer a balcony or terrace, individually controlled air conditioning, a satellite TV with music channels, Wi-Fi, a safe deposit box, a mini fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. You’ll also receive bottles of water and wine on arrival, plus a selection of tasty fruit. Family rooms offer a segregated sleeping area for the little ones. If you have a mini human, a baby cot is available on request.

Just 7km from the hotel is Malia Palace Archaeological Site, which includes the remains of a sprawling Minoan palace dating from c.1650 BC. Children and Jurassic Park lovers who want to discover something even older shouldn't miss a trip to Dinosauria Park with its collection of bones and fossils. Not to mention its life-size replicas and 3D exhibitions.
