Ikos Dassia - All Inclusive

Located on the picturesque island of Corfu, Ikos Dassia offers a luxurious retreat for those seeking escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Then there’s the a la cartes, each offering kid-friendly meals. Reservations are required for dinners and you can reserve up to three in advance. The collection starts with Ouzo serving some of Greece’s best dishes. It’s open for breakfasts, BBQ lunches and dinners. For even more local specialities visit Kerkyra, where the menu consists of favourites from Corfu, including manouri balls, pan-seared pork fillet and chocolate pave with kumquat.

For something more exotic flavours there’s Anaya, dishing up specialities from China, Thailand and India. A taste of Italy can be experienced at Fresco, open for breakfast, brunch (11am to 5pm) and dinner. Provence dishes up the finest French cuisine in the evening and has an area reserved just for adults. The collection is completed with Grill House, which offers al fresco breakfasts and dinners. And if that wasn’t enough there’s also Gelaterie, offering refreshing ice creams from 10am to 6pm.

Ikos Dassia has over 400 rooms. The Superior Double rooms feature air conditioning and heating, a bathtub or shower, a turn-down service, coffee/ tea facilities, Smart TV, DVD/CD player and Wi-Fi. The One Bedroom Suite can accommodate families of up to five.

The hotel is just 13km from Corfu Town. Here, the standout feature is the 16th century fortress, built by the Venetians on the site of a Byzantine castle. Climb to the top to get a panoramic photo for your Insta feed. If you’re lucky you might even be able to spot the mountainous coast of Albania. The Old Town has a maze of narrow streets, with an excellent selection of places to shop, eat and drink.

Those with a head for heights can visit the Monastery Of Pantokrator (21km away). This 14th century gem is 917m above sea level and is still in use today.
