“Fabulous Family Holiday”
Just returned from a fabulous week at Porto Iliessa. amazing views and right on the beach , although the beach is a narrow shingle, but the sea is easy accessed. great pool and lots of sunbeds in different areas, children's pool was very safe . Everywhere was kept really clean . We had 2 , 2 bedroom apartments on the 3rd floor. Housekeeping again was excellent Yes I agree with a previous submission in that the kitchen and bathroom could do with an update, but would certainly not put me off returning. The hotel is very central and close to a bakery and supermarket, Argassi has an abundance of wonderful little traditional serving super food. Look forward to a return trip next year. Thankyou to all the staff.

Porto Iliessa Hotel Review – Argassi, Zante Rating: ⭐️⭐️ (2/5) Review Title: Great pool and views, but serious safety hazards and poor amenities let it down We recently stayed at Porto Iliessa and overall had a very disappointing experience. While the hotel has some wonderful selling points—particularly the outdoor spaces and location—major safety hazards and poor room upkeep mean it falls well short of the 4-star rating it claims. The Good Points: Stunning Sea Views: The views of the water are fantastic and really add to the holiday feel. Pool & Sunbeds: The pool is large and inviting, and best of all, there was never a frantic rush or need to fight for sun loungers. Central Location: Perfectly situated in Argassi, making it easy to access local shops, tavernas, and amenities. Direct Sea Access: You can walk right down into the sea from the property (though please note there is no actual sandy beach here). Bright Public Areas: The reception area is modern, bright, and very clean. Room Amenities: Having a large fridge-freezer was a huge plus, and the daily cleaning service was reliable and thorough. The Bad Points: Dangerous Leaking Air Conditioning: Both air conditioning units leaked quite a lot of water onto the floor. This resulted in a big puddle causing my daughter to slip and get injured, which is completely unacceptable. Dangerous Children's Pool: A major safety concern—some tiles in the children's pool were detached from the floor and cracked, leaving sharp edges exposed. No Proper Luggage Storage: There is no dedicated luggage storage room, meaning guests are just forced to leave their bags out in the open in reception. Misleading 2-Bedroom Layout: We paid extra to upgrade to a 2-bedroom apartment, expecting two separate bedrooms plus a living space. Instead, the "second bedroom" replaces the living area entirely, meaning you lose any shared lounge space. You might as well just book a standard 1-bedroom apartment and save your money. Unfixed Maintenance Issues: One of the beds had a few broken slats. We reported this on our second day, but unfortunately, it was never fixed during our stay. Poor Kitchen Facilities: The kitchen setup was extremely disappointing. The oven was ancient, filthy, and so worn that all the symbols had rubbed off completely, making it unusable. The cookware provided was also woefully inadequate—just a single frying pan, a massive casserole pot, and a milk jug. Rusty Fixtures: All the taps in the room were heavily rusted. Star Rating: It is advertised as a 4-star hotel, but in our opinion, the safety failures and poor quality of the rooms fall completely short of that standard. Final Verdict: Between the unsafe children's pool, leaking AC units causing injuries, and lack of basic facilities, we cannot recommend this hotel and would advise looking elsewhere.
