A peaceful retreat, steps from the sandy beach, where you can spend blissful days under the Mediterranean sun. And when it’s time to cool off, you’ve got a sprawling pool surrounded by plush loungers to indulge in. After a day of unwinding, you could go for an afternoon stroll along the shops and bars on the promenade. Or plan a day exploring the centre of Hersonissos. The town, famous for its lively nightlife and historical sites, is within easy reach, just a couple of miles from the hotel. Make sure to check out the old Minoan civilisations, Knossos and Phaistos.
Back at base, there is an elegant spa with a sauna and pampering treatments, a yoga and Pilates room, and a fully equipped fitness suite to keep you busy.
When it comes to dining, Euphoria Restaurant serves up an exquisite taste of Crete, with freshly caught fish and seafood, vegetables sourced from selected farmers, and meat and cheese from prime ranchers in the region. There is no buffet service here. Guests can enjoy a daily set menu and table service. Lunch is served between 12:30 and 2:30 pm, and dinner is from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The 66 rooms at Elysium Boutique Hotel are both unique and luxurious. With natural wood details, a private terrace, sumptuous Coco-mat mattresses, Guy Laroche linen, plush outdoor seating, a bathtub or walk-in rainfall shower and a bottle of wine upon arrival. Each space includes bathrobes and slippers, beach towels, an espresso machine refilled daily, tea-making facilities, a flat-screen Smart TV, adjustable air-con, in-room safe, a hairdryer and luxe bathroom amenities. Choose from a double, suite or maisonette, with either a garden or sea view. For extra luxury, book a room with an outdoor hot tub or private pool.
There are few places that stand out for their beauty more than Hersonissos. A couple of miles from the hotel, this coastal town is known for its sandy beaches, the Ancient Minoan City of Knossos and Malia, exhilarating waterparks, traditional villages and top-notch golf courses. A little further north, the windy beach of Kokkini Hani is perfect for windsurfing. There are also fantastic hiking routes around Lasithi plateau and Dikti summit for adventure seekers.

Best Boutique Stay in Crete! 10/10
Best boutique hotel ever! I would rate Elysium Boutique Hotel a 10 star experience if I could. The space is stunning, gorgeous, modern, clean just as the photos show. The staff is top notch, very helpful and friendly. The buffet all-inclusive food was tasty, fresh, and varied. The pool is stunning and the ocean is just across the street. The location is about 30-40 minutes from Heraklion, which I thought would be a bit far from the fun. However, it is the perfect distance away and feels like a quiet, peaceful oasis. As a book nerd, I was also thrilled to see that they had a small library (with a few English book)! I checked out yesterday (the last day of their season until February) and I'm already planning my trip back. Since it was their last day of the season, they hosted a five course dinner on the last evening and it was incredible. By far the highlight of my time in Crete. Madga from the staff and Vasiliki were SO lovely. I cannot recommend Elysium enough! Book it!
A Lovely place for a peaceful getaway in Crete
We are in our seventies and pleased to note that most of the people staying at the Elysium were younger couples although there were people of all ages. It was a friendly comfortable stay. We loved the food and the service, we couldn't have asked for better. The staff was wonderful. Our only criticism was not of the hotel but of the spa that is really a separate business. They have a free 15 minutes but try to upsell you assuring you 15 minutes is not helpful. We were not impressed by their pushy attitude and thought the resort would be better without them. Perhaps if they didn't give 'free' or 'included' services and were just there for those who wished spa treatments it would be nicer.
Brilliant hotel; A* service
I stayed for 2 weeks as a working holiday, just perfect. My goals of coming out here were to work from my remote job, detox a little and relax. There were a number of suitable spots around the hotel to work from, wifi great everywhere. Furthermore, there were rooms near the fitness centre where I could conduct calls etc without being disturbed or infringing on someone else's holiday. I used the fitness room daily, always clean, everything worked, the equipment, water station, TVs. Opportunity for different kinds of workouts, whether you want to lift weights, do cardio or core/yoga exercises (they also had specific yoga classes too I noticed). I stayed half board and always looked forward to breakfast and dinner. The food in my opinion exceptional, a sentiment I'm sure shared by all the guests, something to suit everyone, and lots of traditional Crete appetizers and entrees to enjoy. The kitchen staff and front of house could not do enough for you and in all of my 100's if not 1000's of hotel stays I do not believe I have been on the end of such friendly helpful and personal service. The wider staff were equally as nice, those who cleaned rooms and general areas, those who worked on reception, the bar areas, not even of a nuance of a bad experience. The rooms are very nice, all you could want, the main thing I will remember from this spot is the large glass fronted balcony. Never have I spent so much time on a balcony! The location is pretty good, the beach immediately in front of the hotel isn't breathtaking, a little rustic and doesn't really invite you in, but walks along the promenade and to be beside the Aegean was still pleasant. There is a town centre 5 minutes walk away with a whole host of small tavernas, coffee shops, bars and grocery stores, though note that a lot of these start to close early November because the season is almost through. My only gripe about the trip is not with the hotel itself but that it is quite noisy when you're in your room. You have to close the doors by pulling them slowly shut until you hear a click, apparently a lot of people failed to grasp this simple concept and were just outside their doors slamming and slamming until the cows were coming home. However, don't let this put you off booking, it's a straw clutcher and something that could easily be addressed by the reception when they show people to their room (which they do). I'm considering booking for next year for 2-3 weeks, another working retreat to avoid the cold of the UK!
