Located in the heart of Bakau, Katchically Crocodile Pool is one of three sacred pools in Africa. In The Gambia, crocodiles represent the power of fertility and women experiencing difficulties in conceiving would bathe in the sacred pool in hope and prayer. The pool is believed to also bring good luck to the unfortunate, and is why it still remains today. Take the opportunity to get up close to the Crocodile's in their habitat along with a guide to supervise the encounters.
