Iberostar Las Dalias - All Inclusive

The whole family can enter a world of fun and excitement at Iberostar Las Dalias, Costa Adeje. It’s located 500m from Bobo Beach, 750m from a water sports centre and 1.5km from the Thai-themed Siam Park. With 300 sunshine days per year it’s the ideal choice for a break in any of the four seasons. And with all that good weather why go inside to get a relaxing massage? Here the treatment space is on the sun terrace.

Iberostar’s Star Camp programme allows children to join one of three different programmes, based on their age. At Las Dalias some of the activities on offer include capture the flag, zombie apocalypse and large scale art. If your little one aspires to be the next Jamie Oliver or Nisha Katona, they can enter the master chef competition.

The Danae restaurant offers themed evening meals and show cooking. One night you could be sampling Mexican enchiladas, the next it could be Asian beef teppanyaki and then the local Canarian stew. Between meals light bites are available at the poolside snack bar. After dinner choose whether you devour a digestif at Venus, where there’s live music or at the sports bar. Both options remain open until half past midnight.

The hotel’s gym provides the ideal place to work out. If you prefer competitive sports there’s a squash court (additional charge), pool and darts. Alternatively, meet like-minded people by joining a pilates, step aerobics or aqua gym class Like to be adventurous? There’s options for watersports nearby. Maybe feel the wind in your hair while windsurfing.

There’s a room type to suit your group, whether you’re a couple or an extended family wanting separate sleeping areas. As standard you’ll benefit from complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, a balcony and a hairdryer. The interconnecting options can accommodate up to six guests.

While there is plenty to do at the resort you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to go up the island’s biggest attraction - Mount Teide. This gives you the chance to see gorgeous views of Tenerife, as well as breathtaking sunsets. The island, especially Playa de las Americas, offers exciting and bustling nightlife, with bars, taverns, clubs and nightclubs for all tastes and generations. At Siam Mall you can indulge in some retail therapy, which boasts more than 70 stores dedicated to fashion.

Oh dear!

This is the second visit and unfortunately the last. Let’s start with the good: - Friendly and helpful staff (mostly) one lifeguard in particular is not very friendly. - Animation team really do their best - Cande, Miguel, Johnny and Bryan carry the rest of them because they are exceptional and go over and above. - Plentiful drinks available - Large selection of food in the restaurant and they cater for most diets. (However some of this is undercooked so look out) - Rooms cleaned really well daily Cons - Seen a couple of cockroaches running round the restaurant - this is a bit off putting, did call a guy over to get rid of the beast today. - Food is plentiful but sometimes undercooked - sausages, burgers and chicken wings in particular. - Impossible to find a clean glass, they all have bits stuck to them. - I’ve had an upset stomach most of my stay and not sure what to contribute it to. - Some guests seem to have a different ‘treatment’ not sure i understand - People are so rude and noisy in an evening coming back to their rooms - seriously it’s ridiculous - no consideration at all. - The cleaners round the pool, one in particular just likes to spread the dirt around with his mop - never heard of a dustpan and brush - no one else does it like that. - Broken glass around the pool area and in the corridors - worrying. Iberostar are obviously trying to achieve a good price margin but the standards are slipping, and it’s a shame. Bye Las Dalias !

Great holiday and we will be back

We visited as our "familymoon" as we had our 4 year old daughter with us. On arrival, check in was quick efficient and received service with a smile . We were shown our spacious room which has a huge balcony with table, 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers on it. I had upgraded to a pool view family room and I was very pleased with it. Hotel had put some nice touches such as a bottle of bubbly in an ice bucket alongside 2 just married iberostar tshirts . A lovely touch. Pool area was great , spotlessly clean and we always found 3 sunbeds together no problem. Even on the first day when we didn't arrive until just before lunch. We tended to be around the square smaller pool with having our daughter. Zumba took place in this and the staff were always lively and in good form , never found them pushy. In fact I'd say they needed to inform you a little more of what was going on rather than relying on the app which could be glitchy. This brings me to the one and only negative we had . The kids club should have been on twice a day and operated certain themes as per the app. However to start with it was pretty poor. No one there on the first occasion then advertising a pirate themed day that didn't happen. This dissapoints the little ones and isn't good enough. On the second occasion no one showed up myself and a Spanish lady complained to reception and tbf a member of management came down, Graca I think, this improved the situation and the kids club then operated. Monica arrived and my little one loved her. Bryan was good also in the ents team but I think is more suited to the evening shows and older kids not the club. It still could have been better and is an area of improvement but we were pleased the hotel reacted and sorted it out. Restaurant was good, yes it's that typical 4 star buffet with a different show cooking element that you get in Tenerife and it was exactly what we expected. It does feel a little canteen like but hey are catering for over 900 guests so you get this. Food was always hot and there was a decent choice if a little repetitive , but we were there for 2 weeks so would expect this. Mexican night was really good. The drinks were good and yes a bit of a queue sometimes but nothing excessive. I don't think some people realise that you could get cava, beer, wines and soft drinks at the self service points and this caused needless waits. Entertainment was mainly from the in house team supported by iberostars roving team that visit all their hotels. Could we not ditch greatest showman though as you've run it for 3/4 years now? Something new maybe. Party night is great on the Saturday and you can "fireball" into the pool. Entertainment staff were superb , everyone of them , even cross dressing Jonny.........ha ha. Will we be back, yes we will.

Great holiday

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel considering the price that we paid. The breakfast buffet had a large variety to choose from including pastries, waffles, pancakes, churros, full English as well as cold meats and cheeses. They also had an omelette station and freshly squeezed juices, which we really enjoyed. After a week we felt that the lunches and dinners became slightly repetitive, especially as nearly all the same food was served at lunch and dinner (with dinner having an additional themed section). However, there was a reasonably large selection on offer and the themed section at dinner was always good quality. We particularly liked the seafood and Mexican themes! I am a dessert lover and felt that this area was a slight let down as the cakes were very similar every night. The staff at the pool bar were always friendly even when there was a constant queue in the evening! All branded spirits were included in the all inclusive package which was a nice touch. The cocktails were all pre-made and the taste did seem to vary depending on the night. However, there are many affordable bars selling cocktails for around €5 just a short walk from the hotel so this wasn’t an issue. There was also a self service section just along from the bar for soft drinks, wine and beer, which was nice to grab a drink from when we were sat by the pool. There were also some packet ice creams that you could help yourself to throughout the day and evening. The pool area was really nice and there were always sun beds available. We normally went down to the pool just before 9am and never had an issue finding a couple with a table and parasol. There was always plenty of activities going on around the pool if you wanted to take part, though on some occasions the animation team could be a little too pushy and not take no for an answer. During our stay pool aerobics and paddle board yoga were some of the activities available. We particularly enjoyed the archery with Bryan who remembered our names and was always really friendly when we saw him! The hotel attracted people of all ages including lots of other young couples! There weren’t many young children around the hotel. This meant that around the main pool it felt quite relaxing, though this is probably because we went outside of school holidays. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
