Brilliant stay

Myself, my mum and two boys aged 5 and 7 have just returned yesterday from a one week all inclusive stay... We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% return to the hotel. Pool - Albeit cold when overcast, it is very lovely when the sun is shining which is most days. My two little ones played ALL day EVERY day and loved every single minute. We have a special thank you to Alejandro the lifeguard who watched over my children and any other children continuously and made a huge effort to ensure they were having a great time; including encouraging my youngest boy to swim when he was fearful of the water...Muchos gracias Alejandro!! Food - We managed to eat 3 meals a day with no issues, sometimes repetitive but it was no problem for us and my little ones even my fussy boy managed to eat well. The restaurant staff work very hard but maintain friendly faces who are happy to help with anything! between lunch and evening meal the bar by the pool have snacks often rolls, biscuits, sweet treats, ice creams and some afternoons around 3:30 they did hot dogs. Overall the food was great :) Room - we had a sea / pool view room. We normally stay in apartments so this was different but it was fine, we had no kettle but the reception provided one with some tea and coffee with cups and saucers. The room was clean which is our main priority when staying anywhere, yes, dated but this is no problem...we are only in the room to shower and sleep. The cleaners, also, work super hard all around the hotel to ensure cleanliness! Entertainment - we only went to the bar one night as my little ones were exhausted after tea time, the one time we went there was a live singer which we loved!! It is quite small but was no issue as not so busy whilst we stayed :) The beach - we walked once and actually was surprised, a nice 20 minute walk to the beach. Taxi was only 5 euros and we did this a few times mainly as it was so hot and the boys struggled to walk around. We went to puerto del carmen one day as we absolutely love it there, it was around 25 euros each way, but I believe there is a bus outside the hotel. Overall, we are very happy with our stay. All staff were friendly, hard working and willing to help with absolutely anything they can. We saw a few poor reviews prior to arriving however, for the price we paid we were very surprised and would absolutely go again. Thank you all at blue sea costa bastian for a fabulous holiday!! :)

Nice, friendly hotel.

Very clean and tidy hotel, plenty of sunbeds but are in their own area near the pool. Plenty of drinks and food if all inclusive. If your a faddy eater go b+b. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean every 2 days and was fine for myself and daughter. Had a balcony and a sea view. The location itself is about a 20/25 min walk to nearest beaches and shops. Taxi available for 5€. I enjoyed out stay and would go again.

Good value for money, just needs a few tweaks

We as a family of 6 stayed for 4 days. Hotel is very big, but could do with a lick of paint. We had 2 double rooms and a themed room. Double Rooms were clean and big enough. The themed room was great for our three year old, she loved staying in a volcano themed room, it was very big too. Downsides of the rooms were awkward balcony doors and no kettle! Food was ok. As others have said, it wasn’t great for kids. Only one night there was pizza and chips. Luckily she survived on ham sandwiches! Good variety of food, except for desert. Drinks were great! Entertainment was virtually non existent but we expected that being out of season. However, the music in the bar was far too loud, so we ended up sitting outside most nights. Staff were great especially with our daughter. Albie on reception and Alejandro the life guard were especially excellent. There were no sun beds by the pool which we found strange but didn’t bother us personally, but I imagine it would bother some people. Pools were very cold, obviously beyond their control, but heating wouldn’t go a miss. There were a few teenage handball teams staying during our time there. During the day was great as the place was virtually empty. However they made a lot of noise at night… Overall we would stay again for the price we paid (around £300 each for 4 days, including flights).
