“Not worth the money.”
Booked as a filler in holiday til we go to Italy next May. Hotel is clean and our room was spacious and clean with a very nice bathroom, but....... no tea making facilities at all, no hairdryer, the reception lady let us have one, no remote for TV, no quilt cover on bedding, towels not changed, wet ones were still on balcony, rubbish breakfast, stone cold fried eggs, hot dogs and mixed veg, not the best. Balcony view was at the back of the hotel so just overlooked a lot of rundown buildings. I wouldn't visit this hotel or even Duress again. Town seems rundown with a lot of younger lads hanging round on street corners. Doesn't give you the feeling of being safe. We visited Sarande while in Albania which was a nicer more upbeat and better part of the country so if we did decide to revisit Albania then Sarande would be our destination.

“Brilliant location”
Proximity to the beach is fantastic, very friendly reception staff, bar extremely limited with drinks or ice, room was very clean and towels provided, our breakfast was included and was very limited choice so ate elsewhere 3/7 days, the lift is very small, the cleaners lovely as they are need to be aware that guests don’t want to be woken up by them chatting, laughing and banging at 7am, for the location hotel is excellent

“Great hotel”
We are really pleased that we booked this hotel, the staff are very welcoming, professional and friendly. It is located very close to the beach which is just a short (1 minute) walk from the hotel. The sunbeds and umbrella for each room are really good to have. The rooms and public areas are very clean and comfortable and we are happy with the 3 rooms we have for our family. Breakfast is nice with a selection of eggs, meats, fruits and Albanian doughnuts and dips. This is our first time to Albanian and we will return. Durres is vibrant, bustling and interesting and the promenade /strip has a great choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. The sunsets are beautiful!! We are very happy we chose the Sun Hotel for our 10 night stay, it is very good value for money.

“Never again”
Nightmare.had to ask for pillows only 1 for 2 people. No phone in room to contact reception. No coffee making facilities. Broken chair outside,writing on head board,balcony not swept.rusty table outside,rude reception staff(guy) sign saying if food or drink brought into room 50 euro fine?????,bar very limited drinks. Positive note cleaning staff really nice, included in price tickets for beds etc on beach 2 minute walk to beach stayed a few night then moved woukd return to Duress not this hotel .
