    Benidorm weather January

What’s the weather like in Benidorm in January?

Sitting on the Mediterranean coast in southeast Spain, Benidorm has hot summers and mild winters. If you're planning Benidorm holidays in January you can expect pleasant weather for this time of year, and you'll get much less rain compared to other Mediterranean destinations. This is due to the mountains that surround it, which also give the city warmer temperatures than other places nearby. Benidorm has over 300 sunny days each year, which the south-facing bay makes the most of.

The average high in Benidorm is 15ºC in January, which drops to 6ºC at night. You'll have the chance to relax in the sun during the day, but you should bring some warmer clothes for the evenings. The sea temperature is a fairly cool 15ºC, while humidity’s low. There’s 31mm of rain over nine days, and you can expect ten hours of daylight with six hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be low but still pack your sun cream. Sunset’s around 6pm for much of the month.
