    Paris weather March

What’s the weather like in Paris in March?

Paris weather in March is slightly better than previous months with longer days of sunshine and warmer temperatures. There’s still quite a bit of rain over the month, but it won’t get in the way of your holiday. Showers are usually very light to moderate, so make sure to pack a raincoat and you’ll be fine.

    Geographical influences

Paris is located in north-central France, which means it has an oceanic climate typical of its position in western Europe. The North Atlantic Current is known to affect the weather in Paris by bringing frequent showers and mild temperatures to the city. Sunshine is scarce in winter, but March has slightly more sunlight than last month so you’ll have more time to explore the city and take in all of the amazing sights and sounds.

You’ll enjoy the milder weather when you visit Paris in March with an average temperature of 9°C and highs of 13°C. It rains on 14 days of the month, with an average rainfall of 24mm. This means you’re very likely to see some rain during your holiday, but you’ll still have at least six hours of sunlight per day. The average sea temperature is just 8°C, which isn’t great for swimming so you might want to avoid the coast of France at this time of year.
